Nate
Barfield
American Nate Barfield (206-F/C-88) had a great game in the last round for NSH GMC and that's him to receive a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 28-year old power forward had a double-double of 33 points and twenty five rebounds, while his team beat Hang Tuah (5-6) 97-87. NSH GMC is placed at 7th position in Indonesian IBL. NSH GMC is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-6 record. Barfield just recently signed at NSH GMC, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Langston University, OK graduate has very impressive stats this year. Barfield is league's best scorer averaging so far 26.9ppg. Barfield is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 15.1rpg) and averages solid 2.1spg and 57.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 24-year old American center Nate Maxey (211-C-92) of Satya Wacana. Maxey impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 24 points and 27 rebounds. Bad luck as Satya Wacana lost that game 59-75 to the higher-ranked CLS Knights (#2, 9-1). Satya Wacana are still at the very bottom. 11 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Maxey is one of the most experienced players at Satya Wacana and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American JaJuan Smith (188-G-85) of Hang Tuah (#8). Smith showcased his all-around game by recording 29 points, twelve rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. Despite Smith's great performance Hang Tuah lost 87-97 to NSH GMC (5-6). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Hang Tuah ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 6 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Smith could help Hang Tuah to bring them higher in the standings. Smith has a great season in Indonesia. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.5ppg (4th best), rebounds with 8.7rpg (#1 in league) and assists with 5.4apg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Gary Jacobs (188-PG-92) of NSH GMC - 26 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists
5. Carlos Smith (206-F-90) of Satria Muda - 15 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists
6. Falando Jones (193-G-90) of Hang Tuah - 28 points and 6 rebounds
7. Arki Wisnu (187-SF-88) of Satria Muda - 17 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists
8. Raylly Pratama Putra (195-F-90) of NSH GMC - 23 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Kore White (205-F-89) of Pelita Jaya - 22 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists
10. David Seagers (188-G-88) of Pacific Caesar - 18 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
