The most important game in the last round took place in Jakarta between third ranked Aspac (7-4) and fourth ranked Pelita Jaya (7-4) on Saturday night. Aspac was defeated by Pelita Jaya on the road 71-60. The game was mostly controlled by Pelita Jaya. Aspac managed to win third quarter 24-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Aspac to just 4 points in first quarter. They outrebounded Aspac 44-32 including 31 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American-Jamaican forward Kore White (205-89, college: S.Florida) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. American point guard Martavious Irving (185-90, college: Kansas St.) chipped in 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international point guard Andakara-Prastawa Dhyaksa (173-92) produced 16 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Pelita Jaya have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Aspac. Pelita Jaya will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. American forward Carlos Smith (206-90, college: Bowie St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Arki Wisnu contributed with 17 points, 8 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Canadian forward Kevin Loiselle (198-88) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists for Pacific Caesar. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Pacific Caesar. Pacific Caesar was ahead by 19 points at the halftime before a 64-19 second half run of Satria Muda. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Pacific Caesar to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Satria Muda forced 19 Pacific Caesar turnovers and outrebounded them 61-39 including a 41-29 advantage in defensive rebounds. Satria Muda players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Pacific Caesar's players. Pacific Caesar was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Carlos Smith (206-90, college: Bowie St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Hang Tuah - NSH GMC 87-97

There was a minor upset in Pandang where 6th ranked Hang Tuah (5-6) was defeated by eighth ranked NSH GMC (5-6) 97-87 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by NSH GMC. Hang Tuah managed to win second period 24-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when NSH GMC won last quarter 33-25. NSH GMC outrebounded Hang Tuah 53-33 including a 39-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Power forward Nate Barfield (206-88, college: Langston) had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 25 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Gary Jacobs (188-92, college: Cent.Washington) chipped in 26 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists during the contest. Guard JaJuan Smith (188-85, college: Tennessee) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and guard Falando Jones (193-90, college: Miss.Valley St.) scored 28 points and 6 rebounds. NSH GMC moved-up to seventh place, which they share with defeated Hang Tuah. NSH GMC will meet higher ranked Aspac (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hang Tuah will play again against NSH GMC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Aspac - Pacific Caesar 96-73 Aspac coastd past Pacific Caesar to take 1-0 lead in the series. It looked good early as Pacific Caesar took a 6-point lead at the end of first quarter.
