The most exciting game of round 13 in the IBL took place in Jakarta. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Garuda (5-5) to third ranked Aspac (7-3) 61-58 on Friday evening. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 17-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Garuda outrebounded Aspac 54-25 including a 24-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international Pringgo Regowo (190-87) stepped up and scored 4 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and the former international point guard Andakara-Prastawa Dhyaksa (173-92) chipped in 11 points. At the losing side the former international point guard Wendha Wijaya (181-82) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Garuda's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Aspac maintains third place with 7-3 record behind leader Satria Muda. Garuda lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with Hang Tuah. Aspac's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Jakarta to the arena Pelita Jaya.
Bottom-ranked Satya Wacana (0-10) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their tenth consecutive match to seventh ranked Hang Tuah (5-5) 90-75. American guard JaJuan Smith (188-85, college: Tennessee) nailed a double-double by scoring 26 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and Falando Jones accounted for 36 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. American center Nate Maxey (211-92, college: N.C.Central) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 blocks for Satya Wacana in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hang Tuah moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Garuda. Satya Wacana at the other side still closes the standings with ten games lost. Hang Tuah will play against NSH GMC (#8) in Jakarta in the next round. Satya Wacana will play on the road against the league's second-placed CLS Knights in Surabaya and hopes to get finally their first victory.

In the last game of round 13 CLS Knights destroyed JNE BSC on the opponent's court 88-63.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 5 points and 17 rebounds by Galank Gunawan of Garuda.

Bima Perkasa - Pelita Jaya 50-80

10th ranked Bima Perkasa (1-8) was outscored at home by sixth ranked Pelita Jaya (6-4) with the biggest margin this round 80-50 on Friday night. The game without a history. Pelita Jaya led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Bima Perkasa to just 6 points in first quarter. Pelita Jaya dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Bima Perkasa's 20. They outrebounded Bima Perkasa 52-31 including a 41-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. American-Jamaican forward Kore White (205-89, college: S.Florida) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points, 20 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American point guard Martavious Irving (185-90, college: Kansas St.) chipped in 26 points and 6 rebounds. Four Pelita Jaya players scored in double figures. American point guard Tyrell Corbin (184-92, college: CSU Bakersfield) produced 29 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international Yanuar Dwi-Priasmoro (178-89) added 6 points respectively for lost side. Very expected game in Bandung where 9th ranked JNE BSC (3-7) was crushed by second ranked CLS Knights (8-1) 88-63 on Friday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when CLS Knights's pressure prevailed and they won that period 31-10 extending their advantage to 25 points. CLS Knights forced 19 JNE BSC turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The former international point guard Mario Wuysang (176-79) fired 12 points and 9 assists for the winners. American forward Dechriston McKinney (203-92, college: Arkansas Tech) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. Four CLS Knights players scored in double figures. American forward Chris Brand (208-90, college: Lincoln, PA) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points, 14 rebounds and 9 blocks and the other American import point guard Raheem Singleton (182-89, college: Maine) added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. CLS Knights have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 8-1 record having just one point less than leader Satria Muda. Loser JNE BSC keeps the ninth position with seven games lost. CLS Knights will meet at home bottom-ranked Satya Wacana (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. JNE BSC will have a break next round.

The game was mostly controlled by Hang Tuah. Satya Wacana was better in second period 26-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Satya Wacana 38-23 including 28 on the defensive glass. Hang Tuah players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American guard JaJuan Smith (188-85, college: Tennessee) nailed a double-double by scoring 26 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Falando Jones (193-90, college: Miss.Valley St.) accounted for 36 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Coincidentally all hosts won their games. The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Garuda as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Garuda defeated bottom-ranked Siliwangi in Bandung 69-56.
