Kore White
27-year old forward Kore White (205-F-89) put on an amazing game in the last round for Pelita Jaya and receives a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 12.
He had a double-double of 26 points and 13 rebounds, while his team crushed NSH GMC (#8, 4-6) with 22-point margin 79-57. Pelita Jaya maintains the 6th position in Indonesian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Pelita Jaya will need more victories to improve their 5-4 record. In the team's last game White had a remarkable 52.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Pelita Jaya, being already a very valuable addition to the team. University of South Florida graduate has very impressive stats this year. White is in league's top in points (3rd best: 24.4ppg), rebounds (5th best: 13.6rpg) and averages solid 1.4bpg.

Second best performed player last round was Chris Brand (208-F-90) of JNE BSC. He is American forward in his first season at JNE BSC. In the last game Brand recorded impressive double-double of 16 points and 19 rebounds. Bad luck as JNE BSC was edged by slightly higher-ranked Hang Tuah (#7, 4-5) 65-64. JNE BSC is still second from the bottom in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-6 record. Brand is one of the most experienced players at JNE BSC and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Pelita Jaya's star - guard Martavious Irving (185-PG-90). Irving showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was another key player of Pelita Jaya, helping his team with a 79-57 easy win against slightly lower-ranked NSH GMC (#8, 4-6). Pelita Jaya needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 4 lost games. The season just started for Irving as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be another team's leader.

Other top performing players last week:
4. JaJuan Smith (188-G-85) of Hang Tuah - 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Nate Barfield (206-F/C-88) of NSH GMC - 16 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Gary Jacobs (188-PG-92) of NSH GMC - 26 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Tyreek Jewell (185-G-93) of Satria Muda - 15 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Arki Wisnu (187-SF-88) of Satria Muda - 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Dechriston McKinney (203-F-92) of CLS Knights - 10 points and 11 rebounds
10. Kaleb Ramot Ramot Gemilang (183-SF-91) of CLS Knights - 12 points and 4 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

CLS Knights Ride in Shining Armor to Bring ABL Glory back to Indonesia - 22 days ago
After a two season hiatus from the ASEAN Basketball League, Indonesia is ready to return with CLS Knights Surabaya leading the charge. The last time Indonesia fielded a team in the ABL was back in 2014 with two teams: the Indonesia Warriors and Laskar Dreya South Sumatra. Both sides failed to make the playoffs and the ABL hasn't had a club from Indonesia since. Now Indonesia is back, represented by the proud CLS Knights Surabaya   [read more]

SEA Games: Indonesia come from behind to beat Singapore 70-54 - 2 months ago
They came into the game high on confidence. And for most part of the game, they stayed on top. But 12 missed free throws and an inability to execute plays properly down the stretch cost the Singapore national basketball dearly, leading them to a 54-70 defeat by Indonesia and dropping the side to a 2-1 record. A win would have seen them secure a spot in the semi-finals and also avoid powerhouse Philippines in the knockout stage. The match was also a repeat of the semi-finals in the 2015 SE...   [read more]
