The most exciting game of round 12 in the IBL took place in Bandung. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 4th ranked Garuda (5-4) to second ranked CLS Knights (7-1) 57-54 on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back getting tie in the second period and winning the second half and won the game by 3 points. CLS Knights dominated on the defensive end, holding Garuda to just 5 points in third quarter. They outrebounded Garuda 39-28 including 16 on the offensive glass. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for forward Dechriston McKinney (203-92, college: Arkansas Tech) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Jamarr Johnson (193-88, college: Widener) contributed with 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Center Chris Ware (203-89, college: Indiana Tech) replied with 13 points and 7 rebounds for Garuda. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. CLS Knights have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 7-1 record behind leader Satria Muda. Garuda at the other side dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. They share the position with Pelita Jaya. CLS Knights are looking forward to face JNE BSC (#9) in Bandung in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Garuda will play on the road against Aspac (#3) in Jakarta and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Jakarta: Pelita Jaya (#6) and NSH GMC (#7). NSH GMC was smashed at home by 22 points 57-79 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Jamaican forward Kore White (205-89, college: S.Florida) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds and Martavious Irving who added 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American point guard Gary Jacobs (188-92, college: Cent.Washington) with 26 points and 8 rebounds. Pelita Jaya (5-4) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Garuda. NSH GMC at the other side dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. Pelita Jaya will play against Bima Perkasa (#10) in Sakti in the next round where they are favorite. NSH GMC will have a break next round.
IBL top team - Satria Muda (8-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Bima Perkasa (1-7) in Sakti 83-44. The winners were led by Arki Wisnu who scored that evening 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 13 points and 6 rebounds by Moh Saroni did not help to save the game for Bima Perkasa. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Satria Muda have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-0 record. Bima Perkasa lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with seven games lost. Satria Muda will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Bima Perkasa will play against Pelita Jaya (#6) and hope to win that game.
A very interesting game took place in Pandang. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 9th ranked JNE BSC (3-6) to eighth ranked Hang Tuah (4-5) 65-64 on Sunday evening. Hang Tuah moved-up to seventh place. JNE BSC at the other side keeps the ninth position with six games lost. Hang Tuah's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Satya Wacana (#11) in Salatiga. JNE BSC will play at home against the league's second-placed CLS Knights where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.

The most impressive performance of 12th round was 16 points and 19 rebounds by Chris Brand of JNE BSC.
