Kevin
Loiselle
Canadian Kevin Loiselle (198-F-88) had an amazing evening in the last round for Pacific Caesar and that's him to receive a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 28-year old forward had a double-double of 25 points and ten rebounds, while his team beat Hang Tuah (#8, 3-5) 86-77. Pacific Caesar maintains the 5th position in Indonesian IBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Pacific Caesar will need more victories to improve their 5-3 record. In the team's last game Loiselle had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Pacific Caesar, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Loiselle has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 23.4ppg), rebounds (4th best: 13.9rpg), assists (8th best: 4.0apg) and averages solid 1.4bpg and 50.5% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 24-year old American point guard Jarron Crump (183-PG-92) of Satya Wacana. Crump impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 38 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Satya Wacana lost that game 70-76 to the higher-ranked NSH GMC (#7, 4-5). Satya Wacana are still at the very bottom. 9 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Crump is a newcomer at Satya Wacana and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.4ppg (#3). His other stats are also decent: 4.6rpg and 3.4apg.

The third best performed player last round was American JaJuan Smith (188-G-85) of Hang Tuah (#8). Smith showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, thirteen rebounds (!!!) and seven assists in the last round. Despite Smith's great performance Hang Tuah lost 77-86 to the higher-ranked Pacific Caesar (#5, 5-3). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Hang Tuah not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 5 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Smith could try to bring Hang Tuah's a little bit higher in the standings. Smith has individually a great season in Indonesia. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.3ppg (7th best), rebounds with 7.6rpg (#1 in league) and assists with 5.4apg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Nate Maxey (211-C-92) of Satya Wacana - 17 points and 14 rebounds
5. Gary Jacobs (188-PG-92) of NSH GMC - 27 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists
6. Ferdinand Damanik (196-C-88) of JNE BSC - 14 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
7. David Seagers (188-G-88) of Pacific Caesar - 19 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists
8. Tri Wijoyo Wilopo (180-SF-86) of JNE BSC - 18 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Juan Kokodiputra (194-PF-95) of Satria Muda - 19 points and 8 rebounds
10. Tyreek Jewell (185-G-93) of Satria Muda - 15 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

CLS Knights Ride in Shining Armor to Bring ABL Glory back to Indonesia - 22 days ago
After a two season hiatus from the ASEAN Basketball League, Indonesia is ready to return with CLS Knights Surabaya leading the charge. The last time Indonesia fielded a team in the ABL was back in 2014 with two teams: the Indonesia Warriors and Laskar Dreya South Sumatra. Both sides failed to make the playoffs and the ABL hasn't had a club from Indonesia since. Now Indonesia is back, represented by the proud CLS Knights Surabaya   [read more]

Chris Ware (ex Garuda) is a newcomer at Pinheiros - 1 month ago
E.C. Pinheiros Sao Paolo (Paulista) added to their roster 28-year old American center Chris Ware (203-125kg-89, college: Indiana Tech). He played last summer at Garuda in Indonesian IBL league. In 16 games he recorded very impressive stats: 16   [read more]

SEA Games: Indonesia come from behind to beat Singapore 70-54 - 2 months ago
They came into the game high on confidence. And for most part of the game, they stayed on top. But 12 missed free throws and an inability to execute plays properly down the stretch cost the Singapore national basketball dearly, leading them to a 54-70 defeat by Indonesia and dropping the side to a 2-1 record. A win would have seen them secure a spot in the semi-finals and also avoid powerhouse Philippines in the knockout stage. The match was also a repeat of the semi-finals in the 2015 SE...   [read more]
