Seagers
28-year old guard David Seagers (188-G-88) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Pacific Caesar and receives a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 1.
He had the game-high 32 points adding five rebounds and three assists for Pacific Caesar in his team's victory, helping them to crush NSH GMC (#5, 1-1) with 21-point margin 96-75. Pacific Caesar is placed at 2nd position in Indonesian league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Pacific Caesar won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Seagers had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range. He turned to be Pacific Caesar's top player in his first season with the team. Dowling College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Seagers is in league's top in points (5th best: 22.0ppg), assists (5th best: 4.0apg) and averages solid 54.5% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Nate Barfield (206-F/C-88) of NSH GMC. He is American forward in his first season at NSH GMC. In the last game Barfield recorded impressive double-double of 30 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as NSH GMC lost that game 75-96 to Pacific Caesar (2-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Barfield is one of the most experienced players at NSH GMC and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.0ppg (#2). He also registered 15.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Jamarr Johnson (193-F-88) of league's leader CLS Knights. Johnson scored 20 points and grabbed six rebounds. He was a key player of CLS Knights, leading his team to a 83-57 easy win against JNE BSC (#9, 0-1). CLS Knights has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Johnson also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Johnson as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Kevin Loiselle (198-F-88) of Pacific Caesar - 17 points, 16 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Abraham Damar Grahita (201-SF-95) of Aspac - 19 points and 3 rebounds
6. Andre Tiara (190-PF-80) of JNE BSC - 12 points and 9 rebounds
7. Katon Baskoro (184-SF-94) of CLS Knights - 15 points and 5 rebounds
8. Sigit Harun Nurman (187-SF-88) of Garuda - 15 points and 8 rebounds
9. Sherrard Brantley (188-G-90) of Garuda - 20 points and 2 rebounds
10. Diftha Pratama (186-SG-89) of Garuda - 11 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
