The Regular Season in NBL just ended.

The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Dell Aspac (10-1) in Jakarta on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by fifth ranked Satria Muda (8-3) 68-65. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Dell Aspac. Dell Aspac was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a - charge of Satria Muda, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Dell Aspac to just . They outrebounded Dell Aspac 41-30 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Satria Muda made 7 blocks. Guard Arki Wisnu (187-88) scored 22 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international power forward Rony Gunawan (194-80) chipped in 12 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks during the contest. Satria Muda's coach Octaviarro Romely used entire bench in such tough game. The best for the losing side was forward Pringgo Regowo (190-87) with 11 points and 8 rebounds. Satria Muda have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Garuda and CLS Knights. Dell Aspac at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with Pelita Jaya.
The game in Sakti supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Pelita Jaya (10-1) played at the court of 8th ranked Bimasakti (3-8). Pelita Jaya did not have too big problems ending evening with a very confident victory 72-52. The former international forward Andi Poedjakesuma (187-80) notched 11 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and Ary Chandra supported him with 11 points. Even 11 points and 5 rebounds by Bima Rizky Ardiansyah (182-90) did not help to save the game for Bimasakti. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pelita Jaya have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion used an opportunity after Dell Aspac lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Bimasakti at the other side keeps the eighth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Pacific Caesar.

In the last game of round 18 Hangtuah lost to Garuda on the opponent's court 45-54.

Garuda - Hangtuah 54-45

Rather expected game in Bandung where 6th ranked Hangtuah (6-5) was defeated by fourth ranked Garuda (8-3) 54-45. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 19-13. But Hangtuah won second period 11-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Garuda won last quarter 16-8. They also forced 20 Hangtuah turnovers. Forward Christ Gideon (188-84) notched 6 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and Vinton Nolland (194-82) supported him with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Even 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks by center Adhi Prasetyo (194-93) did not help to save the game for Hangtuah. Guard Agustinus Sigar (180-79) added 11 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Garuda have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Satria Muda and CLS Knights. Hangtuah at the other side keeps the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with Stadium Jak..

The game in Sakti supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Pelita Jaya (10-1) played at the court of 8th ranked Bimasakti (3-8). Pelita Jaya did not have too big problems ending evening with a very confident victory 72-52. The game without a history. Pelita Jaya led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Bimasakti's 26. They outrebounded Bimasakti 34-21 including 25 on the defensive glass. Pelita Jaya players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The former international forward Andi Poedjakesuma (187-80) notched 11 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international forward Ary Chandra (182-84) supported him with 11 points. Four Pelita Jaya players scored in double figures. Even 11 points and 5 rebounds by Bima Rizky Ardiansyah (182-90) did not help to save the game for Bimasakti. Yanuar Dwi Priasmoro (178-89) added 12 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pelita Jaya have an impressive five-game winning streak. Satria Muda Pertamina wins Perbasi Cup 2016 - 1 month ago

Satria Muda Pertamina have won Perbasi Cup 2016 beating CLS Knights Surabaya in the Final game. Satria dominated the majority of the game to seal a 67-51 win. Dior Lowhorn (201-F-87, college: USF) stepped up with 24 points and 11 rebounds and was named MVP of the game. Rony Gunawan (194-C-80) followed him with 10 points. Semifinals of the Perbasi Cup 2016 are all set up - 2 months ago

The Semifinals of the Perbasi Cup 2016 will be played tonight at the Sportsmall Mahaka Square Kelapa Gading. Satria Muda Pertamina will take on Hangtuah Sumsel, while CLS Knights Surabaya will play against Pelita Jaya. In the latest games Satria Muda Britama Jakarta beat JNE BSC Bandung Utama 86-38. Pelita Jaya overcame Satya Wacana Salativa 67-52. Stadium Jakarta meanwhile outscored NSH GMC GSBC Jackarta 83-51 and Aspac Jakarta rolled over Pacific Caesar Surabaya 86-69.   [read more]
