32-year old forward Andi Poedjakesuma (187-F-80) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Pelita Jaya and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 17.
He had the game-high 22 points adding seven rebounds and three assists for Pelita Jaya in his team's victory, helping them to crush CLS Knights (#3, 8-3) with 25-point margin 75-50. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Pelita Jaya maintains the 2nd position in Indonesian league. Pelita Jaya has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 9-1. In the team's last game Poedjakesuma had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Pelita Jaya, through which he has constantly improved. Andi Poedjakesuma averages this season 10.1ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Firman Nugroho (201-C-90) of Satya Wacana. He is a center in his second season at Satya Wacana. In the last game Nugroho recorded impressive double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Satya Wacana lost that game 49-64 to the higher-ranked Satria Muda (#5, 7-3). Satya Wacana is still second from the bottom in the standings. 9 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Satya Wacana managed to get this year. Nugroho is well-known at Satya Wacana and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to Bonanza Siregar (192-SF-87) of Satria Muda (#5). Siregar scored 18 points. He was a key player of Satria Muda, leading his team to a 64-49 easy win against the lower-ranked Satya Wacana (#10, 2-9). Satria Muda needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 3 lost games. Siregar has a very solid season. In 10 games in Indonesia he scored 8.2ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Ahmad Junaidi (188-F-90) of Hangtuah - 10 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Schiffo Liogu (190-PF-91) of Hangtuah - 5 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Yanuar Dwi Priasmoro (178-SG-89) of Bimasakti - 21 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Erick Sebayang (180-G-83) of Pelita Jaya - 16 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists

10. Ponsianus Indrawan (191-C-85) of Pelita Jaya - 9 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
