Philippines repeated as SEABA U18 champions. They overcame Indonesia in the final round of the championship to clinch the top position. Rodolfo Alejandro (175-G-95) stepped up with 18 points to lead the winners. Indonesia finished the tournament in the second position. Philippines dominated from the starting minutes. They accumulated a 22:15 lead at the first break. Indonesia slowed their opponents down to narrow the gap at 6-point mark at halftime 28:34. But Philippines unloaded 27 points in the third frame to open a double-digit lead. They stayed well in control throughout the final quarter rallying to a comfortable win at the end. Rey Benedict had 15 points, while Kyle Suarez had 13 points and 9 rebounds in the winning effort. Panagan answered with 13 points for Indonesia. Andre Andriano netted 9 points in the loss.

The Singapore Slingers are out of ASEAN League playoff race. They lost tonight to the Indonesia Warriors and got eliminated from the battle for the fourth position in the ladder. The Thailand Slammers will be the last (fourth) participant of the playoffs. Chris Daniels (200-PF-82, college: Georgia) stepped up with 15 points and 21 rebounds to lead the Warriors to the victory today. The hosts jumped to a 13:6 lead midway through the first quarter. The Warriors though capped the opening period on a 9:2 rally to gain 15:13 lead. The visitors maintained the advantage throughout the second period. The Warriors arrived at halftime up by 7 points 33:26. The Slingers sparked intrigue late in the period cutting the deficit at 3-point mark. But the Warriors quickly responded and entered the fourth frame up by 8 points. They never looked back in the fourth term and sealed the win at the end. Stanley Pringle (184-PG-87, college: Penn St.), Jerick Canada (170-G) and Steve Thomas (204-C/F-81, college: Middle Tenn.St.) notched 12 points apiece for the visitors. Singleton Rashaad (213-C-87, college: Florida Southern) answered with 23 points for the Slingers. Morrison Phillip Aaron connected for 17 points in the loss.
