Indonesia clinched the third straight win at the SEABA U18 Championship in Singapore. They cruised past Laos to secure the qualification into U18 Fiba Asia Championship to be held in Mongolia later this year. Vincent Kosasih (198-C-96) and Halim knocked down 16 points each to lead the winners. Indonesia jumped to an early lead. They built a 17:10 buffer ten minutes into the game. Indonesia held Laos to 2 points in the second quarter taking a 38:12 halftime advantage. Indonesia stayed in charge throughout the third term. They ensured a 37-point cushion before the final quarter and never looked back en route to the victory. Baskoro and Juan Kokodiputro (193-C-95) notched 10 points each for the winning side. Phimmasone Phannolath answered with 15 points for Laos. Siphandone Sengthong (181-C-96) had 12 points in the loss.

Satria Muda overcame Pelita Jaya in the championship series opener. The game was mostly controlled by Satria Muda. Pelita Jaya managed to win second period 17-12. Satria Muda overcame Pelita Jaya in the championship series opener. The game was mostly controlled by Satria Muda. Pelita Jaya managed to win second period 17-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Satria Muda looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Pelita Jaya's players. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Jamarr Johnson (193-88, college: Widener) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Dior Lowhorn (201-87, college: USF) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Satria Muda players scored in double figures. American guard Wayne Bradford (193-92, college: Davenport) answered with 31 points and 9 rebounds and American-Bahrain center Chester Giles (211-85, college: Oregon St.) added 11 points and 17 rebounds in the effort for Pelita Jaya. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Hang Tuah 44-31 including 33 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for international forward Jamarr Johnson (193-88, college: Widener) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. American forward Dior Lowhorn (201-87, college: USF) helped adding 13 points and 12 rebounds. Four Satria Muda players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Nahshon George (206-93, college: Idaho, agency: Haylett Sports) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds and the other American import guard Keenan Palmore (185-94, college: Lenoir-Rhyne) scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. He played recently at played at Bima Perkasa in Indonesian IBL league. In 15 games he averaged impressive 23.0ppg, 5.0rpg, 5.1apg and 1.1spg this season. Club Bameso (TBS) tabbed 26-year old American ex-international guard Anthony McDonald (185-82kg-92, college: N.C.Central). He played recently at played at Bima Perkasa in Indonesian IBL league. In 15 games he averaged impressive 23.0ppg, 5.0rpg, 5.1apg and 1.1spg this season. He can count that year as a very successful as was selected to Indonesian All-Star Game. The last summer McDonald played at Libreville Izobe Dragons (CBL) in Gabonese league. Among other achievements his team won MEAC Regular Season in 2015. McDonald received also All-MEAC 2nd Team award back in 2015 at his college time. McDonald was a member of USA Senior National Team in 2015. He has played also professionally in Spain (Villarrobledo). McDonald attended N.Carolina Central until 2015 and it is his third season in pro basketball.
