Philippine Patriots - Indonesia Warriors 64:73

Indonesia Warriors opened the semifinal series versus Philippine Patriots with a road win. Now the Warriors will be looking to close out the series when they face the Patriots at home court on June 3. Stanley Pringle (184-PG-87, college: Penn St.) scored 23 points to lead the visitors to the win.
The Warriors stunned ambitious hosts in the opening frame. The Indonesian team went on a 24:11 run to leave their opponents behind. The visitors stayed aggressive in the second quarter. They accumulated a 44:23 halftime lead. The Patriots finally tuned up their offence in the third term. They unloaded 29 points in the quarter to narrow the gap at just 6 points before the fourth frame 52:58. But the visitors quickly boosted the margin to 14 points and never looked back en route to the victory. Steve Thomas (204-C/F-81, college: Middle Tenn.St.) accounted for 17 points and 19 rebounds for the Warriors. Anthony Johnson (197-G/F-79, agency: Interperformances, college: La-Lafayette) answered with 21 points for the Patriots. Al Vergara (173-G-79) provided 12 points, 6 boards and 6 assists in the loss.

U.D. Oliveirense (LPB) inked 29-year old American power forward Justin Reynolds (206-111kg-88, college: Texas A&M-CC). He played recently at Garuda in Indonesian IBL league. Pacific Caesar Surabaya won Pos-Honda Pro Tournament 2016. In the decisive game they beat Flaying Wheel Makassar 82-63. Pacific posted a 25-19 run in the first period and added a 21-20 rally in the second frame. Moreover Pacific Caesar Surabaya celebrated the narrow victories in the second half as well for the final success.
