Garuda - Satria Muda 45-61

Satria Muda rallied past Garuda to advance into NBL Final. It looked good early as Garuda took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Satria Muda had a 20-10 second period charge getting the lead and Garuda was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 45-61. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Garuda to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Satria Muda forced 29 Garuda turnovers. Garuda was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international point guard Faisal Julius Ahmad (179-PG-81) stepped up and scored 16 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners and guard Arki Wisnu (187-88) chipped in 15 points. At the losing side the former international point guard Wendha Wijaya (181-82) responded with 10 points and guard Hendru Ramli (188-88) scored 13 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.

Pelita Jaya - Aspac 58-40

Pelita Jaya forced the second game in the semifinals against Aspac beating those in the opener. The game was mostly controlled by Pelita Jaya. Aspac managed to win third quarter 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pelita Jaya held Aspac to an opponent 24.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 36.9 percent accuracy of the winners. Pelita Jaya looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of center Fidyan Dini (195-83) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 5 rebounds. The former international point guard Kelly Purwanto (177-83) contributed with 8 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. The former international center Isman Thoyib (202-84) answered with 8 points and 7 rebounds and Rizky Effendi (187-88) added 10 points in the effort for Aspac. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
