Ronald March
American Ronald March (196-G-93) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best Delhi C. and that's him to receive a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 23-year old guard had the game-high 62 points adding nine rebounds and eight assists for Delhi C. as his team lost the game against Mumbai Ch. (#1, 3-1) 106-129. Delhi C. maintains the 2nd position in their group in Indian UBA League. Delhi C. is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 2nd lost game this season out of 4 games. In the team's last game March had a remarkable 74.1% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Delhi C., being already a very valuable addition to the team. Philander Smith College graduate has very impressive stats this year. March is league's best scorer averaging so far 42.5ppg. March is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 8.3rpg), assists (4th best: 6.5apg) and averages solid 3.3bpg,3.5spg and 61.0% FGP. Worth to mention March played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 27-year old American guard Dermaine Crockrell (185-G-89) of Punjab S.. Crockrell impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 45 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Punjab S. lost that game 71-77 to slightly lower-ranked Haryana G. (#4, 1-3). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in North. Punjab S. still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 2-2 record is not bad at all. Crockrell is one of the most experienced players at Punjab S. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 40.5ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 7.3rpg and 5.5apg. Bemidji State University alumni Crockrell played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

The third best performed player last round was American Alex Scales (192-G-78) of top-ranked Mumbai Ch.. Scales got into 30-points club by scoring 45 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds and four assists. He was a key player of Mumbai Ch., leading his team to a 129-106 easy win against #2 ranked Delhi C.. Mumbai Ch. confirms their top position in North. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 1 lost games. Scales has a great season in India. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 40.3ppg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Amjyot Singh (203-F-92) of Delhi C. - 27 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Inderbir Gill (193-F-87) of Mumbai Ch. - 17 points, 4 rebounds and 9 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
