St Ephremes HSS, Mannam and Little Flower HSS, Koratty won the 31st edition of Fr. Francis Sales Trophy South India Inter School Basketball Tournament for Boys and Girls, respectively here at the Rajagiri Basketball Court .
In the girls final, LF Koratty defeated Alvernia School from Coimbatore, 53-29. Aleena Seby lead the scoring chart with 15 points of it coming from three. Aparna Sadasivan chipped in with 12 points. In the boys match, SH CMI took the lead but Ephremes slowly took control and won the match 70-46. Shibil and Sharon were the top scorers for Ephremes with 16 points each.
Earlier, in the Semi-Finals matches, Little Flower Girls defeated St. Michael's HSS, Kozhikode 58-44. Alverina School, Coimbatore defeated Mount Carmel HSS, Kottayam 59-46, to reach the final.
St. Epherems beat St. Joseph's HSS, Pulicunnu 64-52 while SH CMI beat St. Joseph's HSS, Thiruvananthapurm 72-59.
The trophies and mementoes were distributed by Former Indian International and Commander of Police Academy, Thrissur, Unwin J Antony.
The winners received a cash award of INR 15,000.
