India is winless after three days of action at William Jones Cup. Japan tipped off their campaign versus India. The Japanese team claimed an 86:65 victory. They built a 47:27 halftime lead and never looked back en route to the success. Rina Sezaki (162-PG-92) came up with 24 points to lead the winners. Mio Shinozaki (166-PG-91) added 21 points for Japan. Anna Jose Geethu (185-C-85) answered with impressive 34 points and 22 rebounds for India. In day 2 Chunghwa overcame India. It was a tougher battle for the Taiwanese team. They grabbed a 23:15 lead ten minutes into the game. India matched the tempo as the teams exchanged baskets throughout the second quarter. But Chunghwa increased the tempo in the third term and cleared off to a 22-point lead at the final intermission. They never looked back en route to the victory at the end. Hsu Chien-Hui (171-G/F-89) connected for 19 points, 9 assists and 8 rebounds to pace the hosts. Huang Hsiang-Ting added 14 points for the winners. Anna Jose Geethu replied with 27 points, 15 boards and 6 assists for India. Palanilkumkalayil had 24 points and 10 rebounds in the loss. In Day 3 Cathay Life took on India. And once again the hosts dominated in the game. They claimed a 96:56 win at the end. Huang Ping-Jen notched 20 points to pace the winners. Cathay Life used a 29:12 run in the opening quarter to clear off. They ensured a 36-point lead before the fourth frame and never looked back en route to the victory. Huang YingLi (170-G-89) finished with 15 points, while Liu Chun-Yi (180-F/C-81) added 14 points in the win. Anna Jose Geethu answered with 14 points and 8 rebounds for India. Anju Lakra (160-G-83) and K Kavita added 9 points each in the defeat.

Malaysia narrowed the deficit to a single point with just over a minute remaining. But several misses in the dying stages did not allow Malaysia to snatch the victory.
