Alexandria wore down Newark playing with heavy hearts as the team captain, justin moore sat out due to the death of his granfather, who was a great leader and influenced many players growing up in alexandria. Just after the game, Daryl Owens accepted to answer to some questions from Usbasket.com. Q = It seems that the Avengers started with the right pace even this EBA season. What do you think about your team ? A = 1.We have a very strong talented team this season that can play half court or up tempo game. This is the best avengers team I've been a part of. Q = The EBA league in general seems more strong and the game in it is at the highest level ever. More and more D-1 players, experienced coaches and so on. You are a league veteran, so you lived in first person this kind of 'upgradind'. What do you think about this EBA moment ? A = EBA is a very strong league this season.I' ve played in it since 99 and this is the most talent I've seen in almost 11 years Q = Now, some about you: after a quick checking of all the league rosters, you look one of the oldest players of the 2009-10 season. The same you were able to end the first game of season with 10 pts, 9 rebs, 7 assist. Which is your secret to stay in a so good shape ? A = First and foremost I have to thank God for giving me the strength to compete a high level. I train very hard and also worked on things that will make me a complete player. I use the smallest things as the biggest motivation.
