There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with defeat of the leader, derby games, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

Top ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (20-6) recorded its sixth loss in Dongguan on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by fifth ranked Guandong Tigers (19-7) 114-107. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Zhejiang Guangsha Lions. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Guandong Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Darius Morris (193-91, college: Michigan) who scored 28 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international Jianlian Yi (212-87) chipped in 19 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. American point guard Courtney Fortson (180-88, college: Arkansas, agency: 3Eye) produced a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 9 assists for the guests. Guandong Tigers moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions at the other side still keep top position with six games lost. Guandong Tigers is looking forward to face Jiangsu Dragons (#5) in Nanjing in the next round. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will play at home against Blue Whales (#18) and are hoping to win this game.

The former international center Dejun Han (215-89) replied with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 12 rebounds (on 14-of-16 shooting from the field) for Flying Leopards. Golden Stars have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Flying Leopards. Golden Stars will play against Leopards (#9) in Shenzhen in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Flying Leopards will play on the road against Eagles (#16) in Qingdao and hope to get back on the winning track.
A very close game took place in Taiyuan between Brave Dragons and Sturgeons. Fifteenth ranked Brave Dragons (10-16) got a very close home victory over 14th ranked Sturgeons (11-15). Brave Dragons managed to escape with a 1-point win 113-112 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sturgeons. Luis Scola had a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. LinJian Chen responded with 34 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Brave Dragons maintains fifteenth position with 10-16 record. Loser Sturgeons keep the fourteenth place with 15 games lost. Brave Dragons will meet at home higher ranked Golden Bulls (#7) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Sturgeons will play against Fly Dragons (#10) and hope to secure a win.

Beijing Ducks' coach Giannis Christopoulos used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Beijing Ducks have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 17-9 record. Fly Dragons at the other side keep the tenth place with 12 games lost. Beijing Ducks' next round opponent will be Sharks (#13) in Shanghai and are hoping to win another game. Fly Dragons will play on the road against Sturgeons in Jinjiang and hope to win that game.
We should mention about the upset which took place in Jiangsu, where higher ranked Leopards (16-10) lost to twelfth ranked Monkey Kings (13-13) in a road game 94-109 on Tuesday. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was Jeremy Pargo who had a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!) and 11 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Monkey Kings moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Guangzhou LL. Loser Leopards keep the seventh position with ten games lost. Monkey Kings will face Long-Lions (#11) in Guangzhou in the next round.

Rest of the games of round 26 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Zhejiang GB defeated Tianjin GL in Hangzhou 94-88. Qingdao E. beat Jilin NE T. at home 120-104. Sichuan BW won against Bayi R. on the opponent's court 114-110. Jiangsu D. managed to outperform Guangzhou LL in a home game 114-102. Shanghai S. recorded a loss to Xinjiang FT on the road 123-116.
The best stats of 26th round was 37 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals by Eugene Jeter of Tianjin GL.

Tianjin GL - Zhejiang GB 88-94

There was no surprise in Tianjin where 19th ranked Gold Lions (4-22) were defeated by ninth ranked Golden Bulls (16-10) 94-88 on Thursday. Golden Bulls outrebounded Gold Lions 49-27 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Jarnell Stokes (201-94, college: Tennessee) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists. Center Junhao Lai (204-95) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. American-Ukrainian point guard Eugene Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) produced 37 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and forward DeShuai Shuai (205-95) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Golden Bulls and five Gold Lions players scored in double figures. Gold Lions' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Golden Bulls moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Xinjiang FT and Shenzhen L. Gold Lions lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the nineteenth position with 22 games lost. Golden Bulls will face Brave Dragons (#15) in Taiyuan in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gold Lions will play on the road against Jilin Tigers (#17) in Changchun and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

We should mention about the upset which took place in Jiangsu, where higher ranked Leopards (16-10) lost to twelfth ranked Monkey Kings (13-13) in a road game 94-109 on Tuesday. Strangely Leopards outrebounded Monkey Kings 49-36 including 36 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Leopards' players. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was point guard Jeremy Pargo (188-86, college: Gonzaga) who had a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!) and 11 assists. Forward JJ Hickson (206-88, college: N.Carolina St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds. Four Monkey Kings players scored in double figures. Forward Jared Sullinger (206-92, college: Ohio St.) produced a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 19 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and Keith Langford (193-83, college: Kansas) added 16 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Monkey Kings moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Guangzhou LL. Loser Leopards keep the seventh position with ten games lost. Monkey Kings will face Long-Lions (#11) in Guangzhou in the next round.

Not a big story in a game in Urumqi where 13th ranked Sharks (12-14) were defeated by ninth ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (16-10) 123-116 on Tuesday. Xinjiang Flying Tige looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Xinjiang Flying Tige made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American-Bulgarian point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Dutt Sports Services) who had a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 11 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Brazilian center Augusto Lima (207-91) chipped in 23 points and 8 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Five Xinjiang Flying Tige players scored in double figures. American point guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89, college: BYU) produced 50 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and his fellow American import Nick Minnerath (207-88, college: Detroit Mercy) added 28 points respectively for the guests. Sharks' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Zhejiang GB and Shenzhen L. Loser Sharks keep the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. Xinjiang Flying Tige will face bottom-ranked Bayi Rockets (#20) in Ningbo in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Sharks will play at home against Beijing Ducks (#6) and hope to win that game.
