After 6 rounds played we can already see who rules in the CBA and who belongs to weaker ones. There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team and favorites losing the games.

The most surprising game was the first loss of Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (5-1) in Hangzhou on Friday night. Hosts were edged by tenth ranked Long-Lions (4-2) 118-116. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Zhejiang Guangsha Lions. Long-Lions made 26-of-31 free shots (83.9 percent) during the game. 27 personal fouls committed by Zhejiang Guangsha Lions helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American point guard Kyle Fogg (190-90, college: Arizona) scored 58 points (!!!) and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Palestinian center Sani Sakakini (204-88) chipped in 20 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Long-Lions' coach used entire bench in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American point guard Courtney Fortson (180-88, college: Arkansas, agency: 3Eye) with a double-double by scoring 48 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 14 assists. Long-Lions moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 6 other teams. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions at the other side keep the second position with one game lost. They share it with Shandong GS. Long-Lions is looking forward to face Jiangsu Dragons (#10) in Nanjing in the next round where they are favorite. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will play at home against the league's leader Guandong Tigers (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Important game to mention about took place in Jiangsu. Eighth ranked Monkey Kings (4-2) saved a 3-point victory at home edging one of their biggest challengers Flying Leopards (4-2) 110-107 in the game for the fourth place. American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) notched a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the effort and Guo Yifei supported him with 22 points. Even 35 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 5 assists by American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin) did not help to save the game for Flying Leopards. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Monkey Kings moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 6 other teams including defeated Flying Leopards. Monkey Kings will play against Leopards (#12) in Shenzhen in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Flying Leopards will play at home against Golden Stars (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
CBA top team - Guandong Tigers (6-0) managed to deliver another win on Friday. This time they beat nineteenth ranked Bayi Rockets (0-6) in Dongguan 106-92. The best player for the winners was Andrew Nicholson who had a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was ZhongHao Xu who recorded 19 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Undefeated Guandong Tigers have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. Loser Bayi Rockets still closes the standings with six games lost. They share the position with Sichuan BW. Guandong Tigers will meet league's second-placed Zhejiang Guangsha Lions in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bayi Rockets will play against Blue Whales (#20) in Sichuan and hope to get finally their first victory.
Bottom-ranked Blue Whales (0-6) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their sixth consecutive match to sixth ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (4-2) 121-108. It was a good game for Darius Adams who led his team to a victory with 44 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Blue Whales' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 6 other teams. Blue Whales at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Xinjiang Flying Tige's next round opponent will be Sharks (#9) in Shanghai where they are favorite. Blue Whales will play at home against Bayi Rockets (#19) and look forward to get finally their first victory.
An interesting game took place in Shenzhen where higher ranked Jiangsu Dragons (4-2) were upset on the court of fourteenth ranked Leopards (3-3) 110-102 on Friday. Leopards will face higher ranked Monkey Kings (#7) in Jiangsu in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Jiangsu Dragons will play on the road against Long-Lions in Guangzhou and hope to win that game.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 6: Beijing D. won against Shanxi BD on the opponent's court 113-103. Shanghai S. managed to outperform Beikong FD in a home game 123-119. Tianjin GL recorded a loss to Fujian S. on the road 121-105. Qingdao E. was defeated by Zhejiang GB on its own court 104-115. Shandong GS smashed Jilin NE T. in Jinan 151-96.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 41 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 7 assists by Jamaal Franklin of Sichuan BW.

Shenzhen L. - Jiangsu D. 110-102

An interesting game took place in Shenzhen where higher ranked Jiangsu Dragons (4-2) were upset on the court of fourteenth ranked Leopards (3-3) 110-102 on Friday. Jiangsu Dragons were plagued by 39 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Jared Sullinger (206-92, college: Ohio St.) had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international center MuHao Li (218-92) chipped in 18 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American swingman MarShon Brooks (196-89, college: Providence) with 35 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds (went 14 for 14 at the free throw line !!!) and Serbian center Miroslav Raduljica (213-88) scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists.
