American Michael Holyfield (211-C-92) had a great game in the last round for Beijing and that's him to receive a Asia-basket.com NBL Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 25-year old center had a double-double of 53 points and twenty eight rebounds, while his team beat Anhui (#7, 5-4) 122-107. Beijing is placed at 10th position in Chinese NBL. Beijing is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-5 record. Holyfield has many years of experience at Beijing, through which he has constantly improved. Sam Houston State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Holyfield leads league in rebounds with 23.9rpg. Holyfield is in league's top in and averages solid 2.1bpg and 66.9% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 25-year old American forward LaQuinton Ross (203-F-92) of Fujian. Ross impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 38 points and 24 rebounds. It was enough for Fujian to edge the lower-ranked Hebei X. (#12, 3-6) in overtime by 6 points 126-120. This victory allowed Fujian to move up to 4th position in the standings. His team's 6-3 record is not bad at all. Ross is one of the most experienced players at Fujian and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Russ Smith (183-PG-91) of Luoyang (#9). Smith got into 30-points club by scoring 52 points in the last round. He went also for ten rebounds and eight assists. He was a key player of Luoyang, leading his team to a 114-109 win against slightly lower-ranked Lhasa (#11, 4-5). Luoyang needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 4 lost games. Smith has a great season in China. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 58.7ppg (best scorer). He also has 4.0spg and FGP: 56.3%.

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
