Mike Harris
Leones de Ponce (BSN) inked experienced 34-year old American small forward Mike Harris (198-107kg-83, college: Rice). It is actually his comeback to Leones as he has played here before. Harris He moved there from Sichuan Blue Whales in Chinese CBA league where he started the season. In 11 games he averaged impressive 22.7ppg, 9.8rpg and 2.0apg this season. The last season Harris played also at Blue Whales (also in CBA). In 47 games he had very remarkable stats: 30.4ppg, 11.5rpg, 2.6apg and 1.1spg. He helped them to win the league title (twice) despite they ended the regular season at the second place (twice). A very good season in his career as he was awarded Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese CBA Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year and Forward of the Year.
Harris has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2012.
Among other achievements he received Latinbasket.com All-Puerto Rican BSN Imported Player of the Year award in 2013 and 2015.
Harris is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to five different countries on three different continents (Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Harris has played previously professionally also in Iran, Kuwait (Al Qadsia), Ukraine and NBA (Houston Rockets, Utah Jazz, Washington Wizards and Minnesota Timberwolves) and China (Golden Bulls, Jiangsu Dragons, Leopards and Eagles).
He attended Rice University until 2005 and it is his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.

Shanghai Sharks (CBA) confirmed in their roster 28-year old American point guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89kg-89, college: BYU). He was a team leader there last season. In 41 CBA games he was the best scorer with impressive 37.6ppg and averaged 8.2rpg, 4.2apg and 1.6spg. Team Red of the Chinese men's basketball national team beat Egypt 90-64 to win the third place at the Stankovic Continental Cup 2017 here on Sunday, while Germany defeated Croatia 69-65 for the championship title. China, who edged out Egypt by 71-70 on Thursday, used a 15-0 run in the middle of the first quarter to set up a lead of 15 points after that period.
