Guizhou (NBL) landed 31-year old American point guard Tyrone Brazelton (184-103kg-86, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Higher Vision Sports). He played recently at Rosa Radom in Polish PLK league, but was released by the team last month. In 11 games he averaged 13.9ppg, 3.5rpg and 5.1apg this season. Brazelton also played 7 games in Basketball Champions League where he had very impressive stats: 15.3ppg, 5.0rpg and 5.1apg.
The most of last season he spent at Gravelines Dunkerque in French ProA. In 23 games he recorded 7.9ppg, 1.5rpg and 2.3apg. The other team Brazelton played that season for was Konyaspor in Turkish BSL. In 8 games he got 10.8ppg, 3.0rpg and 5.0apg. His team won Polish Supercup.
Brazelton received All-Sun Belt 2nd Team award back in 2008 at his college time.
Brazelton is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in nine different countries playing on three different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian and of course North American leagues. Brazelton has played previously professionally in Belarus (Tsmoki-Minsk), Germany (Eisbaeren Bremerhaven and Nuernberg), Iran (Petrochimi), Latvia, Lithuania (Neptunas and Nevezis), Ukraine (BC Odessa), France (STB Le Havre) and D-League (Erie Bay Hawks).
He attended Western Kentucky University until 2008 and it is his ninth season in pro basketball.
Let's have closer look into Brazelton's outlook: Tyrone is a consumate point guard who can always reach high assist and point values per game. He is a tireless defender and very quick off the dribble. He can play at the highest level of European competition and can even play combo guard alongside another point guard because he defends so well.
