Guangdong rallied past Shenzhen to claim 4-1 win in the series. The game was mostly controlled by Guandong Tigers. Leopards was better in third quarter 32-28. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guandong Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Leopards' 44. Guandong Tigers had a 36-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. The former international Jianlian Yi (212-87) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners and American guard Donald Sloan (190-88, college: Texas A&M) chipped in 17 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists. American point guard Jeremy Pargo (188-86, college: Gonzaga) responded with 24 points and 8 assists and Polish-Swedish power forward Maciej Lampe (211-85) scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Guandong Tigers and five Leopards players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Xinjiang upset Liaoning on the road to seal their Finals appearance. Flying Leopards were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Xinjiang Flying Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Flying Leopards' 46 and made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Flying Leopards 48-35 including 16 on the offensive glass. American-Bulgarian point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Stealth Sport) orchestrated the victory by scoring 48 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. International center Qi Zhou (217-96) contributed with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin) answered with 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists and the former international center Dejun Han (215-89) added 19 points and 16 rebounds in the effort for Flying Leopards. Five Flying Leopards players scored in double figures.

NBL is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 13 rounds left. An interesting game for Henan (11-2) which hosted in Henan 3rd placed Anhui (8-5). First ranked Henan managed to get a 6-point victory 141-135. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Anhui. Shanghai Sharks (CBA) confirmed in their roster 28-year old American point guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89kg-89, college: BYU). He was a team leader there last season. Team Red of the Chinese men's basketball national team beat Egypt 90-64 to win the third place at the Stankovic Continental Cup 2017 here on Sunday, while Germany defeated Croatia 69-65 for the championship title.
