Xinjiang stepped closer to CBA Finals after they handed the third straight defeat to Liaoning. The guests were already 16 points ahead at halftime and as many as 29 after three quarters before a 40-19 last quarter charge of Flying Leopards cut the lead to 116-108 at the end of the game. Xinjiang Flying Tige made 26-of-34 charity shots (76.5 percent) during the game. Xinjiang Flying Tige had a 37-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Flying Leopards were plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American-Filipino power forward Andray Blatche (211-86) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). American-Bulgarian point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Stealth Sport) helped adding 34 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was the former international center Dejun Han (215-89) with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 22 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and the former international Ailun Guo (192-93) scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.

Shenzhen snapped two-game losing skid and beat Guangdong to narrow the deficit. Leopards looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Leopards made 7 blocks. It was a good game for American point guard Jeremy Pargo (188-86, college: Gonzaga) who led his team to a victory with 33 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Polish-Swedish power forward Maciej Lampe (211-85) contributed with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Leopards players scored in double figures. American guard Donald Sloan (190-88, college: Texas A&M) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists and the former international forward Peng Zhou (210-89) added 25 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Guandong Tigers. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
