Shangai outgunned Shenzhen for the second straight win in the series. Leopards were trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 26-19 charge of Shanghai Sharks, which allowed them to win the game. They made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Leopards helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American point guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89, college: BYU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!). The former international guard XiaoYu Liu (191-89) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Polish-Swedish power forward Maciej Lampe (211-85) answered with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 13 rebounds and American point guard Jeremy Pargo (188-86, college: Gonzaga) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Leopards. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Leopards' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

Guangdong ST - Sichuan BW 119-97

Guangdong rallied past Sichuan to sweep the quarterfinal series. The game without a history. Guandong Tigers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Sichuan BW's 54. They outrebounded Sichuan BW 50-39 including a 40-29 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guandong Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Sichuan BW's players. It was a quality performance for American guard Donald Sloan (190-88, college: Texas A&M) who led the winners and scored 26 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import power forward Carlos Boozer (206-80, college: Duke) accounted for 19 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. American Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice, agency: Stealth Sport) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and Iranian center Hamed Haddadi (218-85) added 11 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Sichuan BW in the defeat. Five Guandong Tigers and four Sichuan BW players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Guangsha L. - Liaoning H. 100-117

Liaoning topped Guangsha to spur ahead. The game was mostly controlled by Liaoning Hunters. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions managed to win third quarter 31-28. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Zhejiang Guangsha Lions 51-36 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin) who led the winners and scored 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. The former international Ailun Guo (192-93) accounted for 33 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds for the winning side. American point guard Courtney Fortson (180-88, college: Arkansas, agency: Three Eye Sports) came up with 28 points, 7 assists and 4 steals and Taiwanese forward Cheng Liu (192-90) added 27 points and 4 steals respectively for Zhejiang Guangsha Lions in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions' coach let to play ten players seeing no chance for a win.

Xinjiang overcame Shandong to take 2-1 lead in the series. The hosts were already 11 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 28-26 Shandong Bulls' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 102-93 at the end of the game. Xinjiang Flying Tige forced 22 Shandong Bulls turnovers. Shandong Bulls were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American-Bulgarian point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Stealth Sport) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. The former international forward Makan Kelanbaike (197-92) helped adding 27 points and 5 rebounds. Five Xinjiang Flying Tige players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American point guard AJ Price (188-86, college: Connecticut) with 44 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 6 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and international forward Yanyuhang Ding (200-93) scored 18 points. Shandong Bulls' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
