McCollum
28-year old point guard Errick McCollum (185-PG-88) had a very impressive game in the last round for North Control B. and receives a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 35.
He had a double-double of 60 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Jilin NE T. (#14, 12-24) 124-118. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. North Control B. maintains the 17th position in Chinese league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 27 games and recorded just nine victories. In the team's last game McCollum had a remarkable 54.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be North Control B.'s top player in his first season with the team. Goshen College graduate has very impressive stats this year. McCollum is league's best scorer averaging so far 37.1ppg. McCollum is in league's top in and averages solid 2.2spg and 52.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was MarShon Brooks (196-G/F-89) of Jiangsu D.. He is American swingman in his second season at Jiangsu D.. In the last game Brooks recorded impressive double-double of 43 points and 18 rebounds. It was enough for Jiangsu D. to edge the lower-ranked Shanxi Zh. (#13, 14-22) by 5 points 100-95. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Jiangsu D. keeps 10th position. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 19-17 record is not bad and everything may still change. Brooks is well-known at Jiangsu D. and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 36.5ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 7.3rpg and 4.4apg.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Malcolm Thomas (206-F-88) of Jilin NE T. (#14). Thomas showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, twenty four rebounds (!!!) and eight assists in the last round. Despite Thomas' great performance Jilin NE T. lost 118-124 to the lower-ranked North Control B. (#17, 9-27). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Jilin NE T. not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 24 games, recording just twelve victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Thomas could try to bring Jilin NE T.'s a little bit higher in the standings. Thomas has individually a great season in China. After 34 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 16.4rpg (#1 in league). He also has 1.5bpg and FGP: 59.1%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Qi Zhou (217-C-96) of Xinjiang FT - 26 points, 15 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Jamaal Franklin (196-SG-91) of Shanxi Zh. - 45 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Jimmer Fredette (188-PG-89) of Shanghai S. - 45 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists
7. Darius Adams (188-PG-89) of Xinjiang FT - 42 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists
8. Jason Thompson (211-F-86) of Shandong FB - 27 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists
9. D.J. Kennedy (198-G/F-89) of Guangzhou - 27 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Hamed Haddadi (218-C-85) of Sichuan BW - 21 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
