The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute susprises and upsets.

Bottom-ranked Guangzhou managed to get the second consecutive victory on Sunday night. This time they won against eighteenth-ranked Jiangsu TX 109-102. Guangzhou made 25-of-28 free shots (89.3 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Jiangsu TX helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Iranian forward Mohammad-Samad Nikkhah-Bahrami (199-83) orchestrated the victory by scoring 34 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 5 assists. American swingman DJ Kennedy (198-89, college: St.John's) contributed with 27 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Jordanian forward Zaid Abbas (203-83) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for Jiangsu TX. Guangzhou (7-28) moved-up to nineteenth place. Jiangsu TX lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighteenth position with 27 games lost. Guangzhou are looking forward to face higher ranked Jiangsu Dragons (#10) in Nanjing in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jiangsu TX will play on the road against Guandong Tigers (#4) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
CBA top team - Shanghai Sharks (29-6) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eleventh ranked TianJin Steel (18-18) in Tianjin 113-102. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of TianJin Steel. It was a great evening for American point guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89, college: BYU) who led his team to a victory scoring 45 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Guerschon Yabusele helped adding 17 points and 10 rebounds. Palestinian center Sani Sakakini (204-88) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shanghai Sharks have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 29-6 record, which they share with Xinjiang FT. TianJin Steel at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 18 games lost. Shanghai Sharks will play against Beijing Ducks (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. TianJin Steel will play against Fujian and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Beijing was also quite interesting. Third ranked Liaoning Hunters (27-8) played at the court of 8th ranked Beijing Ducks (19-16). Liaoning Hunters defeated Beijing Ducks 98-84 on Sunday. It was an exceptional evening for Lester Hudson who led the winners and scored 27 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Grant Jerrett came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for Beijing Ducks in the defeat. Beijing Ducks' coach rotated eleven players and allowed the starting five to rest. Liaoning Hunters maintains third place with 27-8 record having just two points less than leader Shanghai S., which they share with Guangdong ST and Guangsha L. Loser Beijing Ducks dropped to the ninth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Jiangsu D.. Liaoning Hunters will meet North Control (#17) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Beijing Ducks will play against the league's leader Shanghai Sharks (#1) and hope to secure a win.
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Jilin Tigers (12-23) and North Control (9-26), which took place in Beijing. 14th ranked Jilin Tigers lost to seventeenth ranked North Control in a road game 118-124. The best player for the winners was Errick McCollum who had a double-double by scoring 60 points (!!!), 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. North Control's coach XiDong Wang allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. North Control maintains seventeenth place with 9-26 record. Jilin Tigers lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 23 games lost. North Control's next round opponent will be higher ranked Liaoning Hunters (#3) in Yingkou and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
The game between 19th ranked Bayi Rockets (6-29) and ninth ranked Sichuan BW (20-15) in Ningbo on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Sichuan outscored Bayi Rockets 96-72. Hamed Haddadi orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to eighth place. Bayi Rockets lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom. Sichuan BW will face higher ranked Shandong Bulls (#7) in Jinan in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bayi Rockets will play at home against the league's second-placed Xinjiang Flying Tige (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 35: Fujian QB were beaten by Shandong FB on the road 124-113. Qingdao E. lost to Xinjiang FT on its own court 102-110. Shenzhen L. unfortunately lost to Guangsha L. in Hangzhou 90-97. Zhejiang CB recorded a loss to Guangdong ST at home 93-108. Shanxi Zh. was defeated by Jiangsu D. on the opponent's court 100-95.
The most impressive performance of 35th round was 24 points and 13 rebounds by Maciej Lampe of Shenzhen L..

Shandong FB - Fujian QB 124-113

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Shandong Bulls (21-14) beat 15th ranked Fujian (11-24) in Jinan 124-113 on Sunday. Shandong Bulls dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Fujian's 44. Shandong Bulls forced 19 Fujian turnovers and outrebounded them 52-39 including 19 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Jason Thompson (211-86, college: Rider) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import point guard Justin Dentmon (183-85, college: Washington) contributed with 38 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American point guard Dwight Buycks (191-89, college: Marquette) answered with 29 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and international Zhelin Wang (215-94) added 12 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Fujian. Five Shandong Bulls and four Fujian players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Shandong Bulls maintains seventh place with 21-14 record. Loser Fujian keeps the fifteenth position with 24 games lost. Shandong Bulls will face Sichuan BW (#8) on the road in the next round.
