Blatche
Experienced American-Filipino Andray Blatche (211-F/C-86) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best Xinjiang FT and that's him to receive a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 34.
The 30-year old power forward had a double-double of 31 points and thirteen rebounds, while his team outclassed Shanxi Zh. (#13, 14-20) with 35-point margin 129-94. Xinjiang FT maintains the 2nd position in Chinese CBA. They are still close to the very top. Xinjiang FT would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 28-6 record. In the team's last game Blatche had a remarkable 90.0% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Xinjiang FT, through which he has constantly improved. Andray Blatche averages this season 24.4ppg and 10.8rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 27-year old American swingman D.J. Kennedy (198-G/F-89) of Guangzhou. Kennedy impressed basketball fans with a triple-double of 34 points, 16 rebounds and 12 assists. It was enough for Guangzhou to edge the higher-ranked Zhejiang CB (#16, 10-24) by 2 points 114-112. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Guangzhou is still at the dead bottom 20th position. 28 lost games are too many comparing to just six victories Guangzhou managed to get this year. Kennedy is a newcomer at Guangzhou and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Willie Warren (193-PG-89) of Zhejiang CB (#16). Warren got into 30-points club by scoring 45 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds . Despite Warren's great performance Zhejiang CB lost 112-114 to the lower-ranked Guangzhou (#20, 6-28). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Zhejiang CB can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 10-24 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Warren he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Warren has individually a great season in China. After 28 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 6.1apg (9th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Malcolm Thomas (206-F-88) of Jilin NE T. - 25 points and 19 rebounds
5. Courtney Fortson (180-PG-88) of Guangsha L. - 36 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists
6. Zhelin Wang (215-PF-94) of Fujian QB - 30 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Loukas Mavrokefalidis (207-C-84) of Qingdao E. - 37 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Maciej Lampe (211-C/F-85) of Shenzhen L. - 24 points, 18 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Eugene Jeter (180-PG-83) of TianJin S. - 29 points, 5 rebounds and 14 assists
10. MarShon Brooks (196-G/F-89) of Jiangsu D. - 38 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
