American Point guard Errick McCollum (185-PG-88) had a very impressive game in the last round for North Control B., receiving a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 30.
The 28-year old player was the main contributor (65 points, eight rebounds and five assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Jiangsu TX (#18, 7-24) 117-111. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. North Control B. maintains the 17th position in Chinese CBA. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 23 games and recorded just seven victories. In the team's last game McCollum had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 10 attempts. He turned to be North Control B.'s top player in his first season with the team. Former Goshen College star has very solid stats this year. McCollum is in league's top in points (2nd best: 36.1ppg) and averages impressive 2.1spg and 52.7% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 31-year old Iranian Hamed Haddadi (218-C-85) of Sichuan BW. Haddadi had a very good evening with a double-double of 38 points and 22 rebounds. It was enough for Sichuan BW to edge the higher-ranked Shanghai S. (#1, 25-6) 122-116. Sichuan BW's 9th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 17-14 record is not bad and everything may still change. Haddadi is a newcomer at Sichuan BW, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Jimmer Fredette (188-PG-89) of league's top team Shanghai S.. Fredette got into 30-points club by scoring 50 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds and six assists. Despite Fredette's great performance Shanghai S. lost 116-122 to the lower-ranked Sichuan BW (#9, 17-14). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Shanghai S. had another "accident". It may be a crucial game and cause dropping from the group of top ranked teams. The record is still good, but 6th lost game is hopefully really an accident. Fredette's teammates are also very good. That's why having such high stats is even more impressive. Fredette has a great season in China. After 30 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 37.0ppg (best scorer). He also has FGP: 54.7% and 3PT: 41.3%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Dominique Jones (193-G-88) of Qingdao E. - 36 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists
5. Jabari Brown (193-G/F-92) of Jilin NE T. - 44 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Jeremy Tyler (208-F-91) of TianJin S. - 35 points and 12 rebounds
7. Henry Sims (208-C-90) of Shanxi Zh. - 39 points and 15 rebounds
8. Yanyuhang Ding (200-F-93) of Shandong FB - 43 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Dwight Buycks (191-PG-89) of Fujian QB - 34 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists
10. Maciej Lampe (211-C/F-85) of Shenzhen L. - 27 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
