Coincidentally all hosts won their games. There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with defeat of the leader, derby games and favorites losing the games.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Shanghai Sharks (25-5) on the court of tenth ranked Sichuan BW on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Sichuan BW 122-116. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Shanghai Sharks. Sichuan BW dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Shanghai Sharks' 50. They outrebounded Shanghai Sharks 56-34 including a 39-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Sichuan BW made 8 blocks. 29 personal fouls committed by Shanghai Sharks helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Iranian center Hamed Haddadi (218-85) had a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!), 22 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and the former international swingman Da Meng (196-82) chipped in 24 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American point guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89, college: BYU) with 50 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Defending champion (16-14) moved-up to ninth place. Shanghai Sharks at the other side still keep top position with five games lost. Sichuan BW are looking forward to face Fujian (#15) in Jinjiang in the next round where they are favorite. Shanghai Sharks will play on the road against the league's second-placed Xinjiang Flying Tige (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
Important game to mention about took place in Jinan. Seventh ranked Shandong Bulls (18-12) saved a 1-point victory at home edging higher ranked Guandong Tigers (23-7) 99-98 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Guandong Tigers. International forward Yanyuhang Ding (200-93) notched 43 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Jason Thompson supported him with 19 points and 17 rebounds. Even 24 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists by American guard Donald Sloan (190-88, college: Texas A&M) did not help to save the game for Guandong Tigers. Guandong Tigers' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Shandong Bulls maintains seventh position with 18-12 record. Guandong Tigers at the other side keep the third place with seven games lost. They share the position with Liaoning H. and Guangsha L.. Shandong Bulls will play against higher ranked Leopards (#6) in Shenzhen in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Guandong Tigers will play on the road against TianJin Steel in Tianjin and hope to get back on the winning track.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (24-6) against fourth ranked Liaoning Hunters (23-7) on Sunday night. Visiting Xinjiang Flying Tige was defeated by Liaoning Hunters in a tough game in Yingkou 100-106. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Xinjiang Flying Tige. The best player for the winners was Lester Hudson who scored 33 points (!!!) (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). At the other side the best for losing team was Andray Blatche who recorded 27 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!). Liaoning Hunters have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Guangdong ST and Guangsha L. Loser Xinjiang Flying Tige keeps the second position with six games lost. Liaoning Hunters will meet Qingdao Eagles (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Xinjiang Flying Tige will play against the league's leader Shanghai Sharks (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game took place in Jinjiang where 13th ranked Shanxi Zhongyu (13-17) was upset on the court of sixteenth ranked Fujian (9-21) 115-111. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a good game for Dwight Buycks who led his team to a victory with 34 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 7 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Fujian's coach WanJun Cui allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Fujian moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Zhejiang CB. Shanxi Zhongyu lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 17 games lost. Fujian's next round opponent will be higher ranked Sichuan BW (#9) on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
Sixth ranked Leopards (20-10) crushed at home 19th ranked Bayi Rockets (5-25) by 28 points 113-85, which is the biggest margin this round on Sunday night. Maciej Lampe scored 27 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Leopards maintains sixth position with 20-10 record. Bayi Rockets lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the nineteenth place with 25 games lost. Leopards will face Shandong Bulls (#7) in Jinan in the next round. Bayi Rockets will play at home against Jilin Tigers (#14) and hope to win that game.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 30: Jilin NE T. lost to Qingdao E. on the opponent's court 110-119. TianJin S. managed to outperform Guangzhou in a home game 99-89. Jiangsu D. was rolled over Beijing D. on the road 108-86. North Control B. defeated Jiangsu TX on its own court 117-111. Zhejiang CB was beaten by Guangsha L. in Hangzhou 126-111.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 25 points and 9 rebounds by Elijah Holman of Guangsha L..

Qingdao E. - Jilin NE T. 119-110

Rather expected game when 14th ranked Jilin Tigers (12-18) were defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Qingdao Eagles (14-15) 119-110 on Sunday. Qingdao Eagles made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Qingdao Eagles outrebounded Jilin Tigers 42-29 including 32 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Jilin Tigers were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) had a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Greek center Loukas Mavrokefalidis (207-84) chipped in 22 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Qingdao Eagles' coach XiaoBin Gong used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American swingman Jabari Brown (193-92, college: Missouri) with 44 points (!!!) and his fellow American import forward Malcolm Thomas (206-88, college: San Diego St.) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Qingdao Eagles and four Jilin Tigers players scored in double figures. Qingdao Eagles maintains eleventh position with 14-15 record. Loser Jilin Tigers keep the fourteenth place with 18 games lost. Qingdao Eagles will face higher ranked Liaoning Hunters (#3) in Yingkou in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Jilin Tigers will play on the road against Bayi Rockets (#19) in Ningbo and hope to win that game.

An interesting game took place in Jinjiang where 13th ranked Shanxi Zhongyu (13-17) was upset on the court of sixteenth ranked Fujian (9-21) 115-111. They made 25-of-27 charity shots (92.6 percent) during the game. Strangely Shanxi Zhongyu outrebounded Fujian 53-35 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. 27 personal fouls committed by Shanxi Zhongyu helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions dominated down low during the game scoring 96 of its points in the paint compared to Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank's 66. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank's players. American power forward Elijah Holman (208-89, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 25 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Courtney Fortson (180-88, college: Arkansas, agency: Three Eye Sports) chipped in 22 points and 11 assists during the contest.
