Darius Adams
27-year old point guard Darius Adams (188-PG-89, agency: Stealth Sport) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Xinjiang FT and receives a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 29.
He got a double-double of 43 points and 11 assists, while his team crushed Jilin NE T. (#14, 12-17) with 22-point margin 135-113. Xinjiang FT maintains the 2nd position in Chinese league. They are still close to the very top. Xinjiang FT would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 24-5 record. In the team's last game Adams had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range and got nine three-pointers out of 20 attempts. He turned to be Xinjiang FT's top player in his first season with the team. University of Indianapolis graduate has very impressive stats this year. Adams is in league's top in points (5th best: 34.2ppg), assists (8th best: 6.0apg) and averages solid 2.1spg and 57.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Courtney Fortson (180-PG-88, agency: Three Eye Sports) of Guangsha L.. He is American guard in his first season at Guangsha L.. In the last game Fortson recorded impressive double-double of 49 points and 14 assists. It was enough for Guangsha L. to edge the lower-ranked Shanxi Zh. (#13, 13-16) by 6 points 131-125. Guangsha L.'s 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 22-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. Fortson is a newcomer at Guangsha L. and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Jamaal Franklin (196-SG-91) of Shanxi Zh. (#13). Franklin got into 30-points club by scoring 43 points in the last round. He went also for twelve rebounds and fourteen assists. Despite Franklin's great performance Shanxi Zh. lost 125-131 to the higher-ranked Guangsha L. (#5, 22-7). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Shanxi Zh. ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 16 games, recording just thirteen victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Franklin could help Shanxi Zh. to bring them higher in the standings. Franklin has a great season in China. After 29 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 35.3ppg (3rd best) and assists with 8.7apg (best passer). He also has 3.5spg, 1.1bpg and FGP: 59.4%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Lorenzo Brown (196-G-90) of Zhejiang CB - 43 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Loukas Mavrokefalidis (207-C-84) of Qingdao E. - 34 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Guerschon Yabusele (201-PF-95) of Shanghai S. - 33 points, 16 rebounds and 3 assists
7. MarShon Brooks (196-G/F-89) of Jiangsu D. - 38 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists
8. Esteban Batista (208-C/F-83) of North Control B. - 24 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists
9. Maciej Lampe (211-C/F-85) of Shenzhen L. - 26 points and 17 rebounds
10. Jabari Brown (193-G/F-92) of Jilin NE T. - 40 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
