CBA top team - Shanghai Sharks (25-4) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed sixteenth ranked Fujian (8-21) 119-93. Shanghai Sharks dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Fujian's 26 and made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Shanghai Sharks forced 19 Fujian turnovers and outrebounded them 54-36 including a 39-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. Shanghai Sharks looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Fujian helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. French Guerschon Yabusele (201-95) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds. American point guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89, college: BYU) contributed with 26 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Dwight Buycks (191-89, college: Marquette) answered with 24 points and 7 rebounds for Fujian. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Shanghai Sharks have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 25-4 record. Fujian at the other side keeps the sixteenth position with 21 games lost. Shanghai Sharks are looking forward to face Sichuan BW (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Guandong Tigers outscored guests from Ningbo 107-70. Carlos Boozer nailed 23 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Guandong Tigers' coach Feng Du felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hao Fu came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds for Bayi Rockets in the defeat. Guandong Tigers maintains third place with 23-6 record having just two points less than leader Shanghai S. Bayi Rockets lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the nineteenth position with 24 games lost. They share it with Guangzhou. Guandong Tigers will meet Shandong Bulls (#7) in the next round. Bayi Rockets will play against Leopards (#6) in Shenzhen and hope to secure a win.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 29: Xinjiang FT smashed Jilin NE T. on the road 135-113. Beijing D. destroyed Jiangsu TX on its own court 116-94. Sichuan BW unfortunately lost to Liaoning H. in Yingkou 85-96. Shenzhen L. managed to beat Qingdao E. at home 112-97. TianJin S. was crushed by Jiangsu D. on the opponent's court 108-88. Shandong FB smashed Guangzhou in a home game 122-100. Guangsha L. won against Shanxi Zh. on the road 131-125.

Jilin NE T. - Xinjiang FT 113-135

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Xinjiang Flying Tigers (24-5) crushed 14th ranked Jilin Tigers (12-17) in Changchun 135-113 on Friday. Xinjiang Flying Tigers made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Xinjiang Flying Tigers outrebounded Jilin Tigers 52-31 including a 21-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American-Bulgarian point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Stealth Sport) nailed a double-double by scoring 43 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 11 assists for the winning side and international center Qi Zhou (217-96) accounted for 24 points and 12 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Zhejiang Guangsha Lions made 38-of-40 free shots (95.0 percent) during the game, while Shanxi Zhongyu only scored fourteen points from the stripe. American players dominated the game. Point guard Courtney Fortson (180-88, college: Arkansas, agency: Three Eye Sports) nailed a double-double by scoring 49 points (!!!), 14 assists and 6 steals (was perfect 17-for-17 from the free throw line !!!) for the winning side and power forward Elijah Holman (208-89, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Pensack Sports) accounted for 20 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Zhejiang Guangsha Lions have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Liaoning H. Loser Shanxi Zhongyu dropped to the twelfth position with 16 games lost. They share it with TianJin S..
