The game between Top Four teams took place in Urumqi. Third ranked host Xinjiang Flying Tigers (22-5) smashed second-best Guandong Tigers (21-6) 129-109. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Xinjiang Flying Tigers made 33-of-42 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game, while Guandong Tigers only scored ten points from the stripe. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Xinjiang Flying Tigers made 9 blocks. 33 personal fouls committed by Guandong Tigers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American-Bulgarian point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Stealth Sport) who led his team to a victory scoring 37 points (!!!) and 5 assists. International center Qi Zhou (217-96) helped adding 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks. The best for the losing side was American guard Donald Sloan (190-88, college: Texas A&M) with 35 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Xinjiang Flying Tige have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Guandong Tigers at the other side dropped to the third position with six games lost. Xinjiang Flying Tige are looking forward to face Leopards (#6) in Shenzhen in the next round. Guandong Tigers will play at home against Qingdao Eagles and are hoping to win this game.

It was an exceptional evening for French Guerschon Yabusele (201-95) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 15 rebounds and 5 assists. XiaoYu Liu accounted for 20 points and 6 assists. American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin) came up with 30 points and 6 rebounds for Liaoning Hunters in the defeat. Shanghai Sharks maintains first place with 23-4 record. Liaoning Hunters at the other side keep the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Guangsha L.. Shanghai Sharks will play against Shanxi Zhongyu (#11) in Taiyuan in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Liaoning Hunters will play on the road against Fujian (#15) in Jinjiang and hope to get back on the winning track.
An interesting game took place in Sichuan where 6th ranked Leopards (18-9) were upset on the court of ninth ranked Sichuan BW (15-12) 118-111 on Friday. The best player for the winners was Hamed Haddadi who had a double-double by scoring 51 points (!!!), 17 rebounds, 7 assists and 8 blocks. At the other side the best for losing team was QuAn Gu who recorded 30 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Leopards' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the third consecutive win for Sichuan BW. Defending champion moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Beijing D. Loser Leopards keep the sixth position with nine games lost. Sichuan BW will meet Jilin Tigers (#14) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Leopards will play against the league's second-placed Xinjiang Flying Tige (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
An interesting game took place in Jiangsu where higher ranked Shandong Bulls (16-11) were upset on the court of seventeenth ranked Jiangsu TX (7-20) 105-97. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Shandong Bulls. It was a good game for Ikechukwu Diogu who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 22 rebounds. Jiangsu TX maintains seventeenth place with 7-20 record. Shandong Bulls at the other side keep the seventh position with 11 games lost. Jiangsu TX's next round opponent will be higher ranked TianJin Steel (#13) in Tianjin and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
An interesting game took place in Jinjiang where 13th ranked Jilin Tigers (11-16) were upset on the court of sixteenth ranked Fujian (8-19) 110-106 on Friday. It was a great evening for Dwight Buycks who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 7 rebounds and 13 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Fujian moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Zhejiang CB. Loser Jilin Tigers dropped to the fourteenth position with 16 games lost. Fujian will face higher ranked Liaoning Hunters (#4) in Yingkou in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 27: Qingdao E. won against Guangzhou on the opponent's court 94-85. Shanxi Zh. managed to outperform North Control B. in a home game 102-90. Jiangsu D. managed to beat Bayi R. on the road 80-70. TianJin S. defeated Zhejiang CB on its own court 131-113. Beijing D. was beaten by Guangsha L. in Hangzhou 96-84.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 26 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists by Courtney Fortson of Guangsha L..

Sichuan BW - Shenzhen L. 118-111

An interesting game took place in Sichuan where 6th ranked Leopards (18-9) were upset on the court of ninth ranked Sichuan BW (15-12) 118-111 on Friday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Leopards. Sichuan BW made 31-of-41 free shots (75.6 percent) during the game, while Leopards only scored twelve points from the stripe. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Sichuan BW made 11 blocks. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Fujian moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Zhejiang CB. Loser Jilin Tigers dropped to the fourteenth position with 16 games lost. Fujian will face higher ranked Liaoning Hunters (#4) in Yingkou in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.

There was no surprise in Hangzhou where 8th ranked Beijing Ducks (15-12) were defeated by fifth ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (20-7) 96-84 on Friday. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Beijing Ducks' 32 and made 31-of-39 free shots (79.5 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Beijing Ducks 50-36 including 16 on the offensive glass. Beijing Ducks were plagued by 33 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American point guard Courtney Fortson (180-88, college: Arkansas, agency: Three Eye Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. International center Jinqiu Hu (208-97) helped adding 20 points and 10 rebounds. Four Zhejiang Guangsha Lions players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Grant Jerrett (208-93, college: Arizona) with 19 points and 9 rebounds and the former international point guard Qingpeng Zhang (187-81) scored 22 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Liaoning H. Loser Beijing Ducks keep the eighth position with 12 games lost. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will face North Control (#18) in Beijing in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Beijing Ducks will play on the road against Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (#16) in Hangzhou and hope to win that game.
