The US Basketball Womens All-Stars went undefeated at the recent Four Nations tournament in China. The team which represented the United States in the international competition finished the event 9-0 with three wins against the China national B team, the national team of Hungary and the Australian Rising Opals. The three wins against China were all close, with one overtime time and the wins by one point, three points and four points.
Aulani Sinclair of Indiana was named the MVP of the entire event and led the team in three-point field goals made. She was named the MVP of the first tour stop, PingXiang as she averaged 12.3 points and three rebounds with a high game of 22 points against Hungary. Sinclair was also on the All-Tournament team at the second stop, Chengdu, where she averaged 13 points and 2.7 rebounds.
Sinclair was joined on the All-Tournament team by former California players Alexis Gray-Lawson and Talia Caldwell. Gray-Lawson came on strong later in the tour. She was named MVP of the third stop, Changshu, where she averaged 11,5 points and five rebounds, leading the USA past China for the third time as she made a key late steal and score in overtime in scoring 16 points. Gray-Lawson was also named to the All-Tournament team in PingXinang where she averaged 11 points and 3.3 rebounds and scored 17 points against Hungary while hitting four late points in the USAs one-point win over China. Caldwell was the most consistent center for the USA, averaging 8.9 points and 6.3 rebounds showing quick feet and jumping ability in helping the USA dominate the boards in their nine wins. She also was named to the All-Tournament team in PingXiang.

Maciej Lampe (ex Besiktas) joins DongGuan Leopards - 12 hours ago

DongGuan New Century Leopards (CBA) agreed terms with 31-year old Polish international power forward Maciej Lampe (211-122kg-85). He is a dual citizen owning also Swedish passport. Lampe played last season at Besiktas in Turkish BSL league. In 25 games he had 12.9ppg, 7.0rpg and 1.2apg. Quite impressive season as he was named to Turkish League All-Star Game. Scotty Hopson (ex Foshan LL) agreed terms with Cedevita - 13 hours ago

Defending champion KK Cedevita Zagreb (A1) inked 27-year old American guard Scotty Hopson (200-93kg-89, college: Tennessee). He played most recently at Foshan Long Lions in Chinese CBA league, but left. In 7 games he recorded very impressive stats: 22.1ppg, 5.6rpg, 3.0apg and 1.3spg last season. Majok's double-double lands him NBL Player of the Week award - 16 hours ago

29-year old center Ater Majok (208-C-87) had a great game in the last round for Beijing and receives a Asia-basket.com NBL Player of the Week award for round 24. He had a double-double of 35 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat Nanjin Army (#14, 1-23) 111-106. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Beijing maintains the 9th position in Chinese NBL.
