The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Beijing. Third ranked Beijing Ducks faced 4th placed Xinjiang Flying Tige. Host Beijing Ducks (16-7) defeated guests from Urumqi (14-10) 106-97. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Xinjiang Flying Tige. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 9 points. Beijing Ducks made 25-of-28 free shots (89.3 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Xinjiang Flying Tige helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Forward Zhe Ji (202-89) fired 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard Stephon Marbury (188-77, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in 17 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. American forward Darnell Jackson (203-85, college: Kansas) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds for lost side. Beijing Ducks moved-up to second place, which they share with Shandong FB. Xinjiang Flying Tige at the other side keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. They share it with Shanxi Zh.. Beijing Ducks is looking forward to face Shanxi Zhongyu (#4) in Taiyuan in the next round. Xinjiang Flying Tige will play on the road against TianJin Steel in Tianjin and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
Bottom-ranked Qingdao Eagles managed to get the fifth consecutive victory. This time they edged eleventh-ranked TianJin Steel 140-138. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Chris Daniels (211-84, college: Limoges) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Tracy McGrady contributed with 23 points and 7 assists for the winners. American power forward Donnell Harvey (203-80, college: Florida) answered with a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds for TianJin Steel. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Qingdao Eagles (7-17) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain seventeenth place. TianJin Steel at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Qingdao Eagles will play against league's second-placed Shandong Bulls in Jinan in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. TianJin Steel will play at home against Xinjiang Flying Tige (#5) in Urumqi and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Guandong Tigers will meet Foshan (#12) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Fujian will have a break next round.
A very interesting game took place in Nanjing. It ended with only one-point home defeat of 13th ranked Jiangsu Dragons (9-14) to sixteenth ranked Shanghai Sharks (8-16) 95-94 on Sunday evening. The game was dominated by American players. Gilbert Arenas nailed a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side. Shanghai Sharks' coach Dan Panaggio allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Shanghai Sharks moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Jilin NE T. and Fujian QB. Jiangsu Dragons at the other side keep the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. Shanghai Sharks' next round opponent will be higher ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (#8) in Hangzhou and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
Important game to mention about took place in Hangzhou. Eighth ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (12-11) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 10th ranked Bayi Rockets (11-13) 94-91 on Sunday evening. Quincy Douby fired 34 points (!!!) for the winners. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Liaoning H. and DongGuan L. Bayi Rockets lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 13 games lost. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will face Shanghai Sharks (#15) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bayi Rockets will play against DongGuan Leopards (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Other games of round 25 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Liaoning H. were defeated by Shanxi Zh. in Taiyuan 119-114. DongGuan L. beat Foshan LL at home 141-133. Guangsha L. lost to Jilin NE T. on the opponent's court 90-101.
The best stats of 25th round was 39 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 5 blocks by Jia Xien of Shanxi Zh..



Guangdong ST - Fujian QB 128-87

Leader Guandong Tigers delivered the twentiethth victory on Sunday night. This time they crushed 14th ranked Fujian (8-16) 128-87 in Dongguan. The game without a history. Guandong Tigers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. Guandong Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. International Jianlian Yi (212-87) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and Nigerian-American power forward Ike Diogu (204-83, college: Arizona St.) chipped in 20 points and 10 rebounds. Four Guandong Tigers players scored in double figures. Shanxi Zh. - Liaoning H. 119-114

There was no surprise in Taiyuan where 7th ranked Liaoning Hunters (12-11) were defeated by fifth ranked Shanxi Zhongyu (14-10) 119-114 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 119-114. Shanxi Zhongyu shot 62.7 percent from the field. Strangely Liaoning Hunters outrebounded Shanxi Zhongyu 52-35 including a 35-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Shanxi Zhongyu made 10 blocks. Liaoning Hunters were plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Jia Xien (198-89) fired 39 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 5 blocks (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. American forward Charles Gaines (201-81, college: S.Mississippi) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Shanxi Zhongyu players scored in double figures. The former international center XiaoXu Li (206-90) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 22 rebounds and Nigerian-American point guard Josh-Emmanuel Akognon (180-86, college: CS Fullerton) added 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Gilbert Arenas (192-82, college: Arizona) nailed a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side and forward D.J. White (206-86, college: Indiana) accounted for 24 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Shanghai Sharks' coach Dan Panaggio allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game.
