Coincidentally all hosts won their games.

The most exciting game of round 24 in the CBA took place in Qingdao. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-best Beijing Ducks (15-7) to seventeenth ranked Qingdao Eagles (6-17) 104-101 on Friday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Qingdao Eagles outrebounded Beijing Ducks 48-36 including 16 on the offensive glass. 26 personal fouls committed by Beijing Ducks helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Chris Daniels (211-84, college: Limoges) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks and the other American import swingman Tracy McGrady (203-79) who added 15 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Qingdao Eagles' coach ZhengXiu Jiang used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American guard Stephon Marbury (188-77, college: Georgia Tech) with 31 points and 8 rebounds. Qingdao Eagles have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain seventeenth position with 6-17 record. Beijing Ducks lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the third place with seven games lost. Qingdao Eagles are looking forward to face higher ranked TianJin Steel (#11) in Tianjin in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Bayi Rockets at the other side dropped to the tenth place with 12 games lost. Jiangsu Dragons will play against Shanghai Sharks (#16) at home in the next round.
