    After 6 rounds played we can already see who rules in the CBA and who belongs to weaker ones.

    There was a change at the CBA leadership position after last games. Round 6 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Xinjiang Flying Tige (3-3). They were edged by fifteenth ranked Jilin Tigers (2-4) 77-74 on Friday night. Jilin Tigers outrebounded Xinjiang Flying Tige 52-38 including a 23-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Xinjiang Flying Tige helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American-Liberian power forward Samuel Hoskin (206-79, college: De Paul, agency: Higher Vision Sports) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Dewarick Spencer (193-82, college: Arkansas St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was international point guard Tal Co (191-91) with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Jilin Tigers moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Xinjiang Flying Tige at the other side dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. They share it with Bayi R.. They were replaced at the leadership position by Guandong ST. Xinjiang Flying Tige will play next round against Liaoning Hunters trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Jilin Tigers will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Shanxi Zhongyu in Taiyuan.
    Undefeated Shandong Bulls (5-1) recorded its first loss on the court of fourth ranked Beijing Ducks. Visitors were defeated by Beijing Ducks 105-98. American guard Stephon Marbury (188-77, college: Georgia Tech) notched 38 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) to lead the effort and Zhe Ji supported him with 24 points and 9 rebounds. Even 31 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) by American point guard Pooh Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) did not help to save the game for Shandong Bulls. Beijing Ducks (4-1) moved-up to third place. Shandong Bulls at the other side still keep top position with one game lost. They share it with Guandong ST. Beijing Ducks will play against bottom-ranked Qingdao Eagles (#17) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Shandong Bulls will play against TianJin Steel (#7) in Tianjin and hope to get back on the winning track.
    Bottom-ranked Qingdao Eagles (0-6) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to fifth ranked Liaoning Hunters (3-2) 114-84 on Friday evening. Liaoning Hunters maintains fifth position with 3-2 record, which they share with Shanxi Zh. and TianJin S. Loser Qingdao Eagles still closes the standings with six games lost. Liaoning Hunters will meet at home Xinjiang Flying Tige (#8) in the next round. Qingdao Eagles will play against Beijing Ducks (#3) and hope to get finally their first victory.
    The game in Hangzhou was also worth to mention about. Sixth ranked Fujian (4-2) played at the court of 8th ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (2-3). Fujian managed to secure a 7-point victory 117-110. Fujian moved-up to fourth place. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank at the other side dropped to the tenth position with three games lost. Fujian's next round opponent will be DongGuan Leopards (#11) at home and are hoping to win another game. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will play against Foshan.

    There were no shocking results in the other games in round 6: Foshan LL lost to Jiangsu D. on the opponent's court 104-110. Bayi R. outscored Guangsha L. in a home game 101-72. Guandong ST managed to beat DongGuan L. on the road 107-93. Shanxi Zh. defeated Shanghai S. on its own court 123-106.


    Beijing Ducks - Shandong FB 105-98

    Undefeated Shandong Bulls (5-1) recorded its first loss on the court of fourth ranked Beijing Ducks. Visitors were defeated by Beijing Ducks 105-98. They made 20-of-20 charity shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Shandong Bulls were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Stephon Marbury (188-77, college: Georgia Tech) notched 38 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) to lead the effort and forward Zhe Ji (202-89) supported him with 24 points and 9 rebounds. Four Beijing Ducks players scored in double figures. Even 31 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) by American point guard Pooh Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) did not help to save the game for Shandong Bulls. Forward Ding Yanyuhang (200-93) added 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Beijing Ducks (4-1) moved-up to third place. Shandong Bulls at the other side still keep top position with one game lost. They share it with Guandong ST. Beijing Ducks will play against bottom-ranked Qingdao Eagles (#17) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Shandong Bulls will play against TianJin Steel (#7) in Tianjin and hope to get back on the winning track.

    Jiangsu D. - Foshan LL 110-104

    We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Nanjing where 13th ranked Foshan (2-4) was defeated by fourteenth ranked Jiangsu Dragons (2-3) 110-104. Jiangsu Dragons shot 64.2 percent from the field. Jiangsu Dragons had a 29-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Foshan helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American center Garret Siler (213-86, college: Augusta St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 16 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). The other American import forward Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) contributed with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Center Zhun Zheng (214-92) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and guard Zhi Luo (190-86) added 23 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Foshan. Four Jiangsu Dragons and five Foshan players scored in double figures. Jiangsu Dragons moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Zhejiang CB and DongGuan L. Foshan lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with four games lost. Jiangsu Dragons' next round opponent will be higher ranked Bayi Rockets (#9) in Ningbo and it may be quite challenging game. Foshan will play at home against Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (#10) in Hangzhou.

    Everything could happen in Ningbo at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Bayi Rockets and 11th ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions had identical 2-3 record. This time Bayi Rockets used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Hangzhou 101-72. Bayi Rockets (3-3) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Xinjiang FT. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with four games lost. Bayi Rockets' next round opponent will be Jiangsu Dragons (#12) in Nanjing. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will play at home against Shanghai Sharks and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

    DongGuan L. - Guandong ST 93-107

    Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked DongGuan Leopards (2-3) were defeated at home by third ranked Guandong Tigers (5-1) 107-93. Guandong Tigers have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Shandong FB. DongGuan Leopards at the other side keep the tenth place with three games lost. Guandong Tigers will have a break next round. DongGuan Leopards will play on the road against Fujian (#4) in Jinjiang.

    Shanxi Zh. - Shanghai S. 123-106

    Everything went according to plan in Taiyuan where ninth ranked Shanxi Zhongyu (3-2) beat 16th ranked Shanghai Sharks (2-4) 123-106. Shanxi Zhongyu moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Liaoning H. and TianJin S. Shanghai Sharks at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with four games lost. Shanxi Zhongyu's next round opponent will be Jilin Tigers (#14) in Changchun and are hoping to win another game. Shanghai Sharks will play on the road against Zhejiang Guangsha Lions in Hangzhou and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
