    Qingdao E. - Foshan LL 80-92

    The game was mostly controlled by Foshan. Qingdao Eagles managed to win second period 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Foshan dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Qingdao Eagles' 32 and made 17-of-17 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. They outrebounded Qingdao Eagles 45-28 including 32 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was swingman Mingxin Ju (200-93) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 17 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Syrian guard Michel Maadanly (194-81) chipped in 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Foshan players scored in double figures. American swingman Tracy McGrady (203-79) produced 32 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) and forward Kai Chen (205-88) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts.

    The game was mostly controlled by Xinjiang Flying Tige. Fujian managed to win second period 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Xinjiang Flying Tige forced 21 Fujian turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward James Singleton (203-81, college: Murray St.) had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center ZhengDong Tang (213-84) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) during the contest. International Zhelin Wang (215-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds and American center Will McDonald (211-79, college: S.Florida) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Center HanLin Tao (206-91) notched 20 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international point guard Jie Sun (190-86) supported him with 20 points and 5 rebounds. Four Shandong Bulls players scored in double figures. Even 13 points and 5 rebounds by the former international center ZhiZhi Wang (215-77) did not help to save the game for Bayi Rockets. The former international forward Lei Wang (203-86) added 11 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. Bayi Rockets' coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win.

Jordanian guard Osama Daghles (198-79, college: Midwestern St.) chipped in a triple-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Four TianJin Steel players scored in double figures.
