China recorded another victory at U18 Asian Championship. They opened Second Stage with a confident win over Japan. Wang Zhelin (215-C/F-94) came up with 36 points and 17 rebounds to lead the winners. China surged ahead early in the game. They posted a 29:10 lead after ten minutes. The margin grew at 28-point mark at halftime 64:36. China opened the second half on a 26:5 rally and cruised at 102:53 lead at the final intermission. Japan never came back to life allowing China to breeze to the victory. Yang Jinmeng (190-G-95), Li Qi (198-F-95) and Dai Huaibo (205-C/F-94) finished with 15 points each for the winners. Yusei Suguira (194-PF-95) answered with 17 points for Japan. Masahiro Narita (185-SF-94) had 11 points in the loss.

China went on a 30:9 rally in the third term to leave Mongolia behind. Six players scored in double digits for China as they cruised to the second straight win at the tournament. Guo Ailun (192-SF-93) netted 21 points for the winning team. Yanyuhang Ding (200-F-93) contributed 15 points, while Meng Da (196-F/G-82) added 14 points for China. Deigernyam Davaasambuu responded with 12 points for Mongolia. Battur Ganbold (185-F-87) chipped in 9 points in the loss.

Dallas Maverics is known for having international ties with international coaches and players . Raca Dragan is a recognised head coach not only in Europe but also in China where he is contining his career the last four years, currently being in Chongqing Fly Dragon and was a National team coach for Cyprus and Lebanon.
Raca is the only Serbian/Cypriot Head Coach next season to coach in CBA (Chinese Basketball Association). During successful career Raca Dragan wan on the bench of Cypriot and Greek teams like AEL Limassol, Iraklis Thessaloniki, Deltalcon APOEL Nicosia, AEP Olimpias Patron, in Beirut Al Hekmeh and now in China.
One of the new teams in the Chinese summer league known as the NBL has signed long time NBA veteran Craig Smith, the skilled power forward who played with the Clippers, Minnesota, and most Portland.
