There was a change at the NBL leadership position after last games. Round 11 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Chongqing FD (8-3). They were defeated by second ranked Sichuan BW (8-3) 88-71 on Wednesday night. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game without a history. Sichuan BW led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Chongqing FD's 32. They outrebounded Chongqing FD 47-31 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Sichuan BW made 11 blocks. 24 personal fouls committed by Chongqing FD helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American power forward Hassan Whiteside (213-89, college: Marshall) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 8 blocks. The USA Mens All-Stars held off a pesky and determined Latvian team 63-58.
Mike Moore led the USA off the bench with 12 points while Devin Sweetney led the team with 14 points. Robert Crawford also helped off the bench with 8 points. Moore and Crawford sparked a 10-2 run at the end of the 3rd quarter to help put the USA up for good.
