South Korea wins East Asian Championship in Incheon. The hosts posted all the victories in the tournament and managed to beat China in the Final game, 79:68.

South Korea wins East Asian Championship in Incheon. The hosts posted all the victories in the tournament and managed to beat China in the Final game, 79:68. Both teams deserved the Final game. South Korea started the game with 19-13 lead and managed dot win the first half by 7 points. China replied with 20-17 in the third quarter and reduced to 4 points entering the last stanza. South Korea however needed a final 19-12 rally to seal the victory and the title. Kim Min-Goo top-scored for the winners with 18 points and Park Chan-Hee (190-G-87) nailed 15. Kim Jong-Kyu (207-C-91) posted 13, while Lee Jung-Hyun (191-F-87) and Lee Jong-Hyun (206-C-94) had 12 each. Guo Ailun (192-SF-93) answered with 17 points in the losing effort and Li Muhao (218-C-92) had 12. Sun TongLin (208-F/C-92) and Wang Zhelin (215-PF-94) followed them with 11 points each in defeat.

China advanced into East Asian Championship Final. They held off Japan in the semifinal battle in Incheon tonight. Guo Ailun (192-SF-93) stepped up with pivotal performance for China. He finished with 28 points, 6 rebound and 5 assists to pace China to the victory. The teams were all square after ten minutes of action 15:15. But China broke through in the second frame. They ignited a 25:9 run in the quarter to gain a comfortable 16-point lead at the interval. Japan stopped the rot in the third term. They slowed their opponents down and narrowed the deficit at 13-point mark 40:53. But China exploded with 30 points in the final period and eased to the victory at the end. Zhai Xiaochuan (205-F-93) produced 14 points and 9 rebounds, while Sun TongLin (208-F/C-92) added 13 points for the winners. Kosuke Kanamaru (193-F/G-89) replied with 18 points for Japan. Yuya Nagayoshi (199-C-91) and Kosuke Takeuchi (206-C/F-85) had 12 points each in the loss.
