Bei Jing team released their power forward James Mays yesterday and they signed the big guy Ernest Brown who played for Liao ning team for a couple years. Now he is in China and will play for beijing team. But bei jing team is still looking for nba big guys and they are negoiating with nba big guy Melvin ely and another NBA star Antonio Walker. If 1 of these 2 big guys could come for a tryout then beijing team might sign with 1 of them as well. Also, another team - Shaan xi team has brought Sean Williams for a tryout since Sean tried out with Shan Dong team but team did not sign him and shaan xi team just needs a big guy now, so they took Sean there to see if he can make team. Shaan xi team's big guy Corsley Edwards broke his finger and went back USA already, and they only have guard Tim pickett right now. Let's see who can stay in China from these guys.

China finished East Asian Championship preliminary round on a high note. They knocked down Mongolia to advance into semifinal stage from the top position in Group B. China will now take on Japan in the semis. Mongolia will face Taiwan in the clash for the fifth overall position at the tournament and the ticket to the Fiba Asia Championship.

China went on a 30:9 rally in the third term to leave Mongolia behind. Six players scored in double digits for China as they cruised to the second straight win at the tournament. Guo Ailun (192-SF-93) netted 21 points for the winning team. Yanyuhang Ding (200-F-93) contributed 15 points, while Meng Da (196-F/G-82) added 14 points for China. Deigernyam Davaasambuu responded with 12 points for Mongolia. Battur Ganbold (185-F-87) chipped in 9 points in the loss.

Dallas Maverics is known for having international ties with international coaches and players . Raca Dragan is a recognised head coach not only in Europe but also in China where he is contining his career the last four years, currently being in Chongqing Fly Dragon and was a National team coach for Cyprus and Lebanon.
Raca is the only Serbian/Cypriot Head Coach next season to coach in CBA (Chinese Basketball Association). During successful career Raca Dragan wan on the bench of Cypriot and Greek teams like AEL Limassol, Iraklis Thessaloniki, Deltalcon APOEL Nicosia, AEP Olimpias Patron, in Beirut Al Hekmeh and now in China.
One of the new teams in the Chinese summer league known as the NBL has signed long time NBA veteran Craig Smith, the skilled power forward who played with the Clippers, Minnesota, and most Portland.
