Ding Jinhui appears to have earned a backup forward spot, with 6 points and 6 rebounds. Yu Shulong seems to be the first choice for the backup guard slot, with 2 points on 1 of 6 shooting, along with 2 steals. He was the only one of the four candidates -- the others are Jin Lipeng, Zhang Bo and Guo Ailun -- given playing time.
Zhu Fangyu did not play and it seems increasingly doubtful that he will be available for the World Championship.
