Laos opened win count at the 2015 SEABA Championship. They knocked down Brunei for 1-2 record. Siphandone Lothalath came up with 35 points to pace the winners.
Laos eked out a 24:17 lead after the opening frame. Brunei narrowed the gap in the second frame. They pulled within 4 points at the interval. But Laos stiffened defensively in the second half. They held Brunei to 28 points in the second part of the game and snatched a tough victory at the end. Thavatsay Phongphoumy provided 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Khonesavanh Lattana added 10 points in the victory. Chin Kai Khoo responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds for Brunei. Zainul Ashyraf (196-C-87) accounted for 17 points and 21 rebounds in the loss.

Michael Parala (196-F-89) lifted the Labuan Wasps to the final of the Yuwang EBL Basketball League with a come from behind 82-79 victory over the Kota Kinabalu Eagles last night. Parala scored 14 of his 19 points in the deciding period, including the basket to separate the two sides in Kuching.
