The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Bars as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Bars smashed 6th ranked Irtysh in Petropavlovsk 94-51. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Irtysh. Bars dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Irtysh's 30. Bars forced 19 Irtysh turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Irtysh's players. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Maksim Nalogov (198-1994) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Sergey Dyatlik (194-1997) who added 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Four Bars players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Ali Isagulov (186-2004) responded with 9 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Artyom Yurkov (193-2002) scored 7 points and 11 rebounds. Irtysh's coach Zhuldys Baydusenova gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Bars (5-0) have an impressive five-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Shymkent. Irtysh at the other side dropped to the fifth place with two games lost. They share the position with Caspiy Aktau. Irtysh will play next round against Caspiy Aktau trying to get back on the winning streak. Bars will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Karaganda on the road.
