Undefeated leader Okayama delivered the eighth consecutive victory. This time they crushed 13th ranked Yamaguchi (2-6) 100-73. Okayama forced 24 Yamaguchi turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward DeVaughn Washington (203-1989, college: Ohio, agency: Mansfield and Associates) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import swingman Andrew Robinson (201-1996, college: Coppin St.) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Okayama players scored in double figures. Haitian-American forward Jeff Coby (203-1994, college: Columbia, agency: Interperformances) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds and guard Doi Hikaru (189-1998) added 14 points and 6 assists in the effort for Yamaguchi. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Okayama (8-0) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 8 victories in a row. Yamaguchi lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with six games lost. They share it with Toyoda. Okayama will play against Shanan Utd (#11) in Kanagawa in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
