Very expected game when 7th ranked Kagawa FA (1-7) was defeated on the road by second ranked Chiba (6-2) 98-88 on Sunday. Chiba made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Leo Lyons (206-1987, college: Missouri) scored 22 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import power forward Evan Ravenel (204-1989, college: Ohio St.) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was British forward Myles Hesson (198-1990, agency: Octagon Europe) with 30 points and 9 rebounds and Australian forward Rhys Vague (206-1996) scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Chiba and four Kagawa FA players scored in double figures. Kagawa FA's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Chiba have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Chiba maintains second position with 6-2 record behind leader Ehime OV. Kagawa FA lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with seven games lost. Chiba will meet league's leader Koshigaya A. in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kagawa FA will play against Nishinomiya S. (#3) and hope to win that game.
