Everything went according to plan when top-ranked Okayama (7-0) beat on the road 10th ranked Yamaguchi (2-5) 115-110 on Saturday. Okayama looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-1985, college: FAU) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists. Nigerian forward Chukwudiebere Maduabum (206-1991) chipped in 28 points and 7 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Okayama's coach Kenji Hilke used entire bench in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Rikiya Yamaguchi (180-1996) who recorded 26 points and American power forward Michael Phillips (202-1990, college: Howard) added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Okayama have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Yamaguchi lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh place with five games lost. They share the position with Toyoda and Kanazawa. Okayama will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Yamaguchi will play again against the league's leader Okayama (#1) and hope to secure a win.
