The game between closely ranked teams ended with 13th ranked Gifu's (1-6) road loss to twelfth ranked Tokyo HT (3-4) 61-66 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American power forward Justin Baker (203-1989, college: Utah Valley) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import power forward John Fields (205-1988, college: Tennessee, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Baker is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Noah Dahlman (202-1989, college: Wofford) who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and Lithuanian center Matas Jucikas (205-1994, agency: BIG) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Tokyo HT moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Veertien Mie. Gifu lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with six games lost. Tokyo HT will again meet at home Gifu (#14) in the next round where they are favorite. Gifu will have a break next round.
