Regular Season Round 4: Fukuoka R. - Yamagata 86-84

Important game to mention about took place in Fukuoka. Fifth ranked Fukuoka R. (3-3) saved a 2-point victory at home edging one of their biggest challengers Yamagata (3-3) 86-84 in the fight for the third place. Fukuoka R. dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Yamagata's 36. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Five Yamagata players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Fukuoka R. moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Yamagata. Fukuoka R. will play against Fukushima (#7) on the road in the next round. Yamagata will play against the league's leader Koshigaya A. (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
